Hi ladies.
Everyone's finishes & progress pics are great. I especially like Chicky's Troutbeck, loooks lovely framed and Louises Candlelight is beautiful.
Not much stitching done here lately
Had great plans for the weekend while the Rugby was on but just didn't get round to stitching. :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
morning all, susan 42, benny1981, catwomen and flowers of scotland the postie should have something for you all in the next couple of days.

oh and i would never sell my xstitch i dont think that unless they are a stitcher themselves they apprechiate how much time has gone into to it and therfore its real value, someone asked me the other day to stitch them something and they would pay, but as i didnt like the design, (fluffy cutsie teddy bears) i said no, because i xstitch because i like it not as a chore13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -
Ok I am getting really grumpy:mad: I keep trying to access my Flikr account and every time I sign in it says thanks for joining now create your user name and profile but I have already done that. I have been trying for the last 10 minutes or more but no luck:mad: is there something obvious that I'm missing?
Hmm...are you using the correct sign in details?
Have you tried retrieving your sign in name and password from the "Forgotten password" link?
What was your Flickr screen name? I'll see if I can find you from the other side, so to speak.
If all that fails, you may need to email Flickr's customer support and ask them to help you access your account.0 -

I've just bought this from ebay, and I'm not even sure why. I think its because the colours sort of match our bedroom. Fingers crossed I like it when it arrives:o
I'm not sure if I made this clear, it's a pattern for xs, I think I may make it into a picture.
I'm still feeling ill and too afraid to stitch my ballerina, I might finish off my mothers day card only I have lost the needle -in bed:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

I think it would look lovely as a picture. In fact I'm not a massive fan of cross stitch in any form other than pictures, although that cushion does look nice, but I think the fact that I love the design helps me to like the cushion! :rotfl:
Hope you feel well enough soon to do some stitching!
I've finally made some progress on Fizzy Moon, the smaller needle definately helps, it was 3rd time lucky for one bit though. I did a bit wrong, unpicked and re did it only to realise I'd done an earlier bit wrong as well! My OCD side made me unpick the whole lot again :rotfl:
Can't wait to check out those ebay links when I get home. I could never sell my stitching, too much time goes into them!
Great progress catwoman, and Candlelight looks beautiful Louise

Maria - thanks for the link to photobucket. I've pm'd you.
Louise - Candlelight is lovely, I agree with PAP that her face does look more illuminated now she's finished. By the way hope the children are better and you haven't caught the bug.
Chicky - Troutbeck is lovely, I'm glad that you completed it and that your Mum loved it. It makes me feel so happy that it has gone to your Mum!!!
MrsM - sorry to hear about Titantic. I can't believe that someone is selling a completed one for such a low starting price.
Catwoman - your fairy has such beautiful colours and is coming along great. Re the Ebay seller, she sold one for £5.29 so maybe she has the point in the wrong place this time. Arrgh - have just checked her other listings and the above is not the case.
Have done very little stitching over the last couple of days. I had a fall on Saturday whilst I was away for the weekend for my Dad's birthday treat. I was getting out of the bath and slipped and ended up on the bathroom floor in a heap. I hate to think what the room below thought was going on. Yesterday I managed to fall down the stairs as well. As a result I am now bruised on my one side from Saturdays fall and on the other from yesterdays and my stitching arm aches after about 20 minutes stitching. Must get on and do the backstitch on my Dad's piece as it's his birthday tomorrow. Hopefully will update later.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Now this maybe a stupid opinion but why stitch something you are going to sell? I know its relaxing to stitch things and some people just love to stitch etc etc. But I would never stitch something I didn't like or something I didn't have a home for. To me its a waste of time, I would rather stitch something I liked and see it on a wall or as a gift. I also doubt that you could sell a finished cross stitch piece for that much, otherwise everyone would be doing it. I know that people do commisions but thats totally different as its a 'pre order'.
I just find it really strange, card making etc is different, but to me cross stitch (prob because its so time consuming for me) just isn't something I would think about selling.
I wouldn't intend to but tbh, if something had sat in a box for X number of years I could be persuaded to part with it for some cash :rotfl: I never stitch something I don't like, so once I have had the enjoyment of stitchng it I am happy to see some things go. (Not the special pieces though)lancs-lady wrote: »I love that. I'm a massive fan of anything Titantic so can feel a search coming on :rotfl:
She does have 8 watchers so hopefully it will reach a nice price for her. She's also selling a Pirates of the Carribbean one. My daughter is a huge fan and keeps asking me to stitch one for her. I might buy that and pass it off as my own! :rotfl:
I hope she gets adecent amount of money - as it is the price won't cover the materials, never mind the frame as well!
Omg at that POTC one! So much work, and so cheap!maria_and_the_imps wrote: »

That's how I see it tbh, I wouldn't stitch loads of flowers no matter what :rotfl:
The true cost of a finished piece could never reflect the hours of work that have been put in.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
