Hello everyone. Welcome to the Weekly Spend Challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.
Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Orange - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

Merry Christmas everyone I hope you are having a fantastic day. I don't have much on this week as won't be going near any shops until at least Wednesday so I am going for £30 this week.
Let me know if I have missed any results or pledges and I will update.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Merry Christmas all - as you know I went well over my budget last week with a massive spend of £400+ (thanks very much car, which I can now hardly bring myself to look at I hate it so much).
I'm not going to let it get to me though - I'll aim for £50 for next week, and that even includes the sales.
I'll edit this post with my exact spend, once I've checked it.

Well I spent £7.76 today but it was all on reduced meat at my local co*op. So wise in my eyes. Completely avoided any sale shopping for the sake of it, but I will be out and about by Wednesday - I have to put a cheque into the bank.Ninja Saving Turtle0

Hi all
VERY lazy day for me today, have watched a lot of tv, and also played around A LOT with budgets and recipes for meal planning, so in some ways productive! NSD as haven't been out, woop!

Goodness it's exhausting doing nothing!
I got the most recent Sookie Stackhouse book (True Blood) for Christmas, which was the only one I was missing, however it's been so long since I've read the rest of the series I wanted to start over, only I've been lending them to my friend and she's got a couple of them and reads REALLY REALLY REALLY slowly... I'm frustrated, I wanna get back to Bon Temps, but from the start! I also got the third series on dvd, but again, want to watch series 1 and 2 again before I watch 3 - I haven't seen any of it!!! MAJOR FAIL as a true, True Blood fan!I do actually have those here though so that may be tomorrow's project to keep me at home and occupied!!! (I have very little money till payday on Friday, and just enough petrol in car for work Wed and Thu, Fri I can top up so fine). Hence trying to avoid going out!
enjoy the rest of your evening all, I'm off to try and beat my mum at darts - in our Christmas Day "match" yesterday, me and Dad won 5 game to 4 over mum and my sister. mwa ha ha ha ha :T

..
Hello everyone,
I hope you are all well.
Thanks PP for starting the thread. Can I pledge £90.00 for this week please? I know I am a little late but omg, kids and DH at home and work.. NOT good hehehe.. By 7pm I am so tired. I came home from work yesterday, sat to watch a bit of telly and next thing I know it is 6am, I am still wearing my uniform and never had tea .
Nevermind, things will be better NEXT year :rotfl:.
I have to go now, work awaits hehehehe.
Have a lovely day everyone.
