Morning budgeteers
First post has been updated let me know if I have missed anything.
I hope everyone is still enjoying the holiday season
I braved looking at the bank accounts today after much xmas spending on food and drink etc. It wasn't as bad as it could have been and sometimes it is just better to know:o
Anyway I haven't left the house since Friday and been keeping away from the sales websites. I am hoping January will be a very frugal month (probably enforced:().
I am not back to work until tomorrow and then it should be a fairly short day for the rest of the week. Enjoy your day everyone.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

It's only Tuesday and already approaching my budget limit!
I needed to buy oil (that pesky car again), which cost £17, but other than that I got all of my Christmas cards and wrapping paper for next year, plus some new undies in the sale (I was getting desperate and didn't get any for Christmas).
Now up to £39+Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Total so far: £11.65/£80
Technically it could be said I haven't done a lot today... but oh, how I have... my OCD has reached new heights, but useful ones! I have rejigged my Monthly Meal Planner Spreadsheet so that now I select the foods according to the recipes from a drop down list and it puts the price in and adds it up for me... love it - can't believe I didn't think of it before! The implementation was a bit tricky, but I taught myself with trial and error, and now can add that to the things I've taught myself!!! hehe, need a screen break now!
Back to work tomorrow, but only 3 days, and reduced hours of 10am-3.30pm which will be lovely, and the office will be really quiet too which is nice!

How clever are you LC. I wouldn't know where to start to get a spreadsheet to do that.
Back to work for me today too and I am quite looking forward to going. I'm getiing a bit bored with doing nothing except tidy up and referee the kids
Still have all my budget for the week left though ............
Sunday - NSD
Monday - NSD
Tuesday - NSD
£12/£0
Will have to pay my dues for the tea and coffee fund at work today but that's only £1. I wonder if I can get away with only spending a pound this week?????? The other pennies can remain my prisoners for a little while longerFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Hi all
How clever are you LC.
Err...not very, I just love my computers
I wouldn't know where to start to get a spreadsheet to do that.
Nor did I hence waited till now to do it! It was fun learning all about it though! Feeling quite inspired to do more with Excel after that! My dad said I was very sad though. I said well at least I'm now organised! :rotfl:
Sun 25 Dec: £5 in pub (given to dad towards drinks)
Mon 26 Dec: NSD
Tue 27 Dec: Cigs £6.65
Wed 28 Dec: Cigs £6.42 (and a pint of milk for work but I claimed that back from petty cash...49p - they laughed at me, but I said look after the pennies...!)
Planned Thu 29 Dec: NSD?
Planned Fri 30 Dec: PAYDAY! Cigs £6.45 and New Years Eve budget of £50 absolute max to cover alcohol and ingredients for the contributions I am making and my cigs for the night, quitting after that (also not from this budget - big food shop for week from food budget, car tax, and petrol from petrol budget)
Total so far: £18.07/£80
Bought cigs today but have most of yesterday's left, so should see me well through to Friday afternoon at least! No Starbucks Friday as they are shut till 3 Jan... stoopid franchise
Can't believe only have 2.5 hours of work left! Nice to get out the house though it must be said! Although bit of a shock to the system after my hibernation of the last few days! Probably good for me though!
Hope everyone else is having a nice day back at work, or at home if you're lucky enough to have this week off!

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and looking forward to 2012 :j.
Just a quick update, today I spent most of my budget .. here we go..
£51.52 on food (justified tho.. chicken breasts were 50% off and I bought a few trays.. so it was more of an investment.. ah, also got a bottle of wine
).
£ 7.00 at ToysrUs.. I know I know, but my sons got some gift vouchers for Xmas and today we went to toysrus.. they were short by £2.00 DS2 and £5.00 DS1.
£5.59 at Amazon.. I just bought the whole Jane Austen collection for ^^. I am well pleased tho and it was a real bargain.
TOTAL: £64.11
I still have to pay something towards our gas and electric bill, if no other expenses come up until Saturday then I just use the rest of the budget towards them.
Oh, I also have to go to Argos tomorrow. I bought Triop Park for Christmas but the thing is faulty. The eggs never hatched and now I have to take it back. Hopefully a nice little refund there. My sons are gutted tho
.
Have a great day everyone.

No spends to report for me today as only purchases were food from the grocery budget.
Was glad to get back to work today the boredom was starting to set in.
LC your spreadsheet sounds fab, I do like the feeling of having figured something out all by yourself.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30
