    Hello all :j
Thought it was time I showed my face -now I've made a start on things.
Lady a few streets away is selling all her stuff as she's moving in with someone so I went off last night and came back with bedding, new casserole (well better than what we'd got) some cheap jewellry that looks better than it is really -2 necklaces and matching chunky bracelet, plus another necklace -several strands of beads and big chunk of stones and beads in the middle - £1 the lot ! 4 embroidered face cloths 50p each and a sundae glass with strawberry body lotion, banana bath crystals, sponge shaped like thick wafer biscuit, orange soap and bath pearls.........spent the morning fiddling with a pale pink flannel to make it look more like and ice cream sundae and hide the contents a bit......neighbour will love it so thats her sorted -that all cost £1.50:T
Necklace with loads of strands of beads will do for eldest sons girlfriend. Found a purple voile gift bag, popped it in and wrapped it in a purple embroidered flannel, sort of like an envelope - cost £2:T -thats her October birthday sorted.

Going back at the weekend for the final clear out to see whats left..............least its a start for me so now I might keep going.

Hospital phoned about transport for next weeks meeting with consultants about complaint - they'll pay for a taxi for us :T I was having probs finding anyone with wheels who wasn't working or on holiday so another prob solved.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi Mary, nice to see you back, sounds like you got some lovely bits and what a bargain too xx

Mum2one, thanks for posting the times for Royal Mail. Must start getting some stamps in soon. Glad Miss Hoodie had a nice day. YD had her induction day at college yesterday and it seemed to go well. She has abandoned her child care course, and is now taking 4 A levels instead.

I got another present finished off. Made the paint brush roll for my brother so that's him finished. Another thing I can cross off my list. I now need to think of something to make for my great niece. I originally made her a fabric basket with some sewing bits in but while talking to her Mum about sewing she mentioned she bought one for her last year so that has gone for my craft stall instead. Then thought I would make her a cross body bag like I made myself but saw her the other day and she has a lovely one already very similar to the ones I make so can forget that idea too. She is 12 so too old for dolls, I want to make something if I can as most of the others get made presents but can't think what to make. May be a cushion for her room or something.

    Morning all!

Thanks for posting dates Mum2one and glad Miss Hoodie settled ok.

Just ordered the Marvel 6 disc set for my cousin for £13.81 and used a voucher so only paid £8.81, looked on Play.com and its on there for £75!!!!

Ordered Downton Abbey series 1 & 2 for my Mum alongside the book, in October the tickets go on sale for Easter for Highclere Castle where its filmed and its not too far from her so going to get her 2 tickets and then that will be her done!

I am going to focus on finishing the Birthdays for the rest of the year, wrapping the presents and writing the cards so they are all ready as I got my C-Section date for 9th October so just over a month :-)

rufus - maybe a cushion for her room or what about a role for make up brushes with a make up bag attached, or a jewellery roll.
