Birthdays
I am good for birthdays for this year and mostly for next, just one more gift and that will just be a smallish one.Christmas Planning
The List - Backup on google docs
PRESENTS- Is there anyone who has had a baby since last xmas that I need to add on. -Excitedly awaiting the birth of my VBF's second baby :j this baby is already on my list with an allocated gift and her birth gift is sitting on my desk while I count down the days.
- How is your list going. Excellent, just one more gift and a few packs of chocolate coins/big box of chocolates for Kindergarten staff to buy.
- Have you got someone who you need to buy for but don't know what to get them, so shout with age, budget, some likes, dislikes, hopefully between us all we're get each other sorted -I would like to help with this bit, I love Christmas shopping
CARDSNobody's getting special cards
I am not sure if the cards I have are non-standard sizes for German post, so I need to check that and if necessary buy a pack of proper sized envelopes to fit them. TREES / DECORATIONS /WRAPPING / CARDS / BUBBLE WRAP / BROWN PAPER / BOXES
We buy a fresh tree in December /have tons of decorations/loads of wrapping paper/enough cards/a mountain of bubble wrap/a full roll of brown paper/can scavenge some boxes. I feel very organised now
FOOD
I need to make a meal plan for Christmas so I can sort it, and also to register myself with a Metro card (cash and carry with some good deals) for their lovely meat.
Miss Hoodies Corner
Its the freezer clean out
On it like a car bonnet. Or something. It needs doing, once the weather gets cooler we have an entire drawer full of soup scraps to use up.
Is there a cupboard, shed needs tidying out.
We did the shed recently so it is fine.
Schools/Colleges
I got rain clothes a couple of weeks ago, we now need a snackbox and I think that's it. CHRISTMAS CAKE
Not making one. It never gets eaten.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST - ICE
I have emergency contacts in my phone, and also in the cases of people who aren't emergency contacts per se but who would be useful contacts that is listed after their names - so if someone scrolled down there's stuff like:
NAME - Husband
HOME
NAME - Mother
NAME - Father
NAME - Emergency child collection
Kindergarten - Child collection 2pm
LAST BUT LEAST - BATCH BAKING
The freezer's full
MINCE PIES
I was thinking of giving mincemeat a go but I have two jars already so maybe next year.
Thank you mum2one. I love Santa's Challenge.

Thank you sugarspun, thats a really good idea about the carseat.
Hope everyone having a good bank holiday, or are we all rained out!!
We went to a NT property, special weekend on, looking forward to seeing the house, (gardens opened at 12, cafe 11.30,) - house didn't open till 2pm!!
But Miss Hoodie and grandad hoodie had a go at Edwardian games, coconut shy, hula hoop and strong man, grandad knocked 1 coconut off and 2 hula hoops so he won some little flyers.
Then pub for lunch on way home, (dads treat), Miss Hoodie had light bite steak and I had steak, - we asked for it well done, while I thought I was going to break my teeth, dad went to cut Miss Hoodies the knife got stuck and the peas shot over the floor!! Just as a manager was by table (didn't realise) and commented that I don't mind well done but don't want to be ringing dentist for dentures in the morning........ next min the girl who brought the food out came back and said assistant manager just seen how bad your steak is, doing you both a fresh meal and he'll arrange a refund!! Second steak was lush...........
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Getting spolit, dad took me and Miss Hoode for lunch, - was offering to pay half (went to Wetherspoons), the daily deal was steak/grills with drink £6.75 or £6.25, based on normal prices we saved £11 so he said get the stuff for 2mors picnic!!
Got bday prezzie for Miss hoodie off Bailey - he's brought her 2 So perfumes from Boots half price (both for under £6), so great for any teenagers etc for xmas.
Did try to get grandad hoodie an xmas prezzies - but he spotted them, so ended up as thank you for running us around.
Wilkos - got Mens Addidas deordrant sprays £2.17 reduced £1, he says there £3 each normally!!
-Massive rant-
I very nearly throttled a girl while we were out, my back and knee had gone, struggling to walk (even thou on crutches), literally dragging my feet together b4 the next step, I heard these 2 girls giggling, didn't think anything of it, then turned to get into the car - they had only been videoing me on the phone........ I was fuming but felt violated and sick, they literally carried on filming while getting in the car, shouted have you seen enough love do you what a photo it lasts longer...... you've never seen 2 girls face drop so quick and move so fast. It was disguisting. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thats terrible Mum2one, there must be something people can do if they see someone filming them like that. Glad you had a nice lunch though. I havent been out of the door since Thursday last week.

Had two parcels come today, something for OH and the trainers for YD, they look nice, just hope she dont mind them being the next size up. We went up town and I got some artist stuff in WH Smith which was 70% off for my brother for Christmas, I am going to make him a paint brush roll and a fabric case for sketching pencils etc. I got a £2 coin in my change which has gone straight in the savings pot for Son's Christmas as they are having money towards their wedding.0
