    Santas Challenge April
    Santas Challenge April

Here we go ladies, the nice time of the month....

Were start with Miss Hoodies Challenge.... The Bedroom

Miss Hoodie has suggested hows the bedroom looking, have you got buts under the bed that shouldn't be there?????

Is there a corner that becomes a junk corner that shouldn't be????

The Wardrobe - Remember that top or skirt you wanted but never wore, can you make some magic and change it, whether its a sewing machine altertion (rufus) or jazz up that blouse with new buttons.

She run out of suggestions at that point!!

OOH got my name mentioned in a challenge lol. I am making loads of new clothes at the moment with all my fabric I bought. Will need a new wardrobe to hang it all up! (or two!!) I need to sort out the bottom of my wardrobe but can't get down there so need some help on that one, might be a job for Granddaughter one weekend.

    ----
    Amazon

have you got any books that you don't want, - trade them in, go to

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/seller/sell-your-stuff.html

I'm not sure if its only one £5 voucher per book or per person, but if its one book and there is more than one account in the household, there would be nothing wrong with hubby selling a book... (don't forget he owes u the £50

Havent any books that I dont want so missing this one out

One way or another it hasn't been a good month so I think we need some me time, - take up a new hobby, or start something you haven't done for a while, read a book.

I have been trying to master felting since the beginning of the year so might have another go at this if I can clear a space on my work table to do it

    Birthday / Xmas preparation

Check May and June's birthday, to see whether you need any cards, paper or even presents.

I have son's birthday in May, I have got him one t-shirt, usually buy him a few so will have a look in Sainsbury as I got a £10 voucher for there yesterday from Maximiles. Only other birthdays are ones I just need cards for.

DONT FORGET ITS FATHERS DAY IN JUNE THOUGH WHEN THINKING ABOUT CARDS AND PRESENTS XX

    ---
don't forget keep an eye out for any bargains, xxxx

Always on the look our for a bargain Mum2one xx

    Hello all :j

susan - love the party in a box you did. I did 'party in a bag' when the twins were 18 -didnt look as posh as yours though.............lol

Rain stopped play today as far as a trip into town went so I dragged my paints out again. Did a few little 'floral' piccys, nothing special, and mounted them on some card so now they're all ready to be stuck on a card or notelet. May as well use them for something.

nanamia - I'm not the best for ideas but in the past I've found its amazing what you can do with an empty gravy granule tub.
Cover with snowman paper, add white bon bons and you'v e got a tub of snowballs
Similar with reindeer paper and maltezers and it becomes 'reindeer poo'
Look on the freebies board for free beauty samples and with the right paper to cover it you have a mini-pamper tub -do bigger ones with empty twiglet tubs.
Cover cheap notebooks with paper or fabric for journals or little shopping list books
Wooden pole with gardening glove, stuffed with wadding tied on the end and its a 'cobweb chaser'
Small tool plastic tool box filled with old fashioned sweets - Retro Sweet Box
Same thing can be an SOS box -fill it with things that we all run out of......batteries, sticky plasters, tissues, couple of tea lights and matches,Rennies, alka saltzer.....that sort of thing. (Both my boys loved them)
Empty glass jar from the kitchen..........toilet roll middle in the centre......round the edge will with dried beans/rice -anything like that to keep the toilet roll middle uppright...........replace lid and cover with fabric...........makes a hiding place for spare keys, keep a fiver in for emergency..etc.

Can't think of anything else at the minute but there's loads of ideas on the other threads. Good luck.

moneypenny - love your tortoise.........wish I had the patience to do that.

mum2one - I'm ahead of you with the challenge.........cleared wardrobe out a while back and not put anything else in it....well apart from a floral blazer. Kitchen cupboards were sorted when we had the new kitchen and OH is in charge of that domain and it's sooooo tidy.........lol That leaves me the ''junk corner'' or in my case.........room that is meant to be my den/office/computer/haven.............at the minute an awful lot of ''stuff'' seems to find its way in here so must..........really must get it sorted.

    Hope your all ok:)

Mrs M - love the tortoise

Ddoll - well done on being more efficient, wish my desk looked a bit better:(

Mary - love you gravy tubs

rufus - felting sounds intriguing.....seen a sewing machine that connected to laptop on tv last night....mmmm ...lol

    mum2one - what you upto?

Is it me or are the prices going up everywhere...I went to B&M this afternoon, havent been for over a year probably...it was £2 to park in carpark that was a shock:eek:, it did say spend £5 in store get 50p back wow...

I parked somewhere else. Went in and some (alot) of the things I would get cheaper elsewhere

Yesterday I blogged these, got long dated oats and the tubes are sealed and stored airtight

    Magic Reindeer Food

Trying to be more organised this year , especially as I didnt make enough cards last year.

    Hello all :j

susan - I can really show off now.......all christmas and birthday cards done with some spare................lol
Mind you, not much else and nothing planned in the way of christmas really.........no gravy tubs covered as yet. I've stitched some little mottos and framed them for a few folk for birthdays......can't do them for christmas as well so working on my painting if I can get it up to scratch maybe. All the odds and ends I've done other years everyones had so I can't repeat them and can't think of anything new.......minds a blank.

Mad panic today thinking I'd missed a birthday so hastily stitched a motto and embroidered some flowers on it, popped it in a frame then turns out her birthdays not till May 16th...........lol Oh well, least its done now.

Hope you're all ok despite the weather:)

Survived the dentist - not the best way to spend a Friday... knew it wasn't going to be pleasant, - tooth out, as last absess had killed the root and the tooth, then the one next dr, the absess had damaged the root but not the canal.

Gets there - he discovers another absess, I just thought i'd put on some weight on my face!! so slight change of plan...
had tooth out, the other one he cleaned it up, but couldn't do the root canal work, so thats padded up and have to go back middle June for the root canal, then again a month or so later got to have it crowned, and he found a broken tooth on the other side... so thats on the to do list.

wouldn't mind, but clean my teeth, use mouthwash, but apparently one of the tablets I'm on dries my mouth up... keeps me quiet!!!

The plan now quiet weekend, miss Hooide has pratice on Sunday for her ballet, tap and freestyle exam. xx

mum2one - dont envyyou the trip to the dentist, last time i went, within the last year it cost me £2500 for a crown, had to go private, and as it was my front tooth had to be done right:eek: not that I`m vain mind

I made a card yesterday for my friends mother, shes 70 I put it here (70th Birthday card) difficult thing to make, have to please friend and then her mother when she gives it her mum. I like making cards but for myself....:D Plus then friend wants to pay and never know what to say......:(

Today the rain is aweful so I`m off in craft room to make something else...:T

Lovely card Susan. We had non stop rain from yesterday afternoon until just before lunch but its gone now and the sun is out. Not that I have anywhere to go today lol.

I have had a bit of a lazy day today, cooked roast dinner this morning ready to hot up tonight when OH gets home from work. Have been doing reviewing on the sites I go on to earn a few more pennies and been watching YD play on the new PS3.

OH is off tomorrow so may be we will go out somewhere, think he is off all week again but not positive, I am always last to know when he has his days off lol.
