  • We've just announced Secret Santa at work and the budget is £10. Though, I definitely need a few tips and ideas! It's be best if I could spend £5, and it look like it's worth more, cos I don't have a big budget this year. Christmas hampers, cards, and that's all we're doing this year.

Any suggestions for a cheap but expensive looking gift?

I'll pop a note together over the weekend to Mary and send all our love, hopefully everything ok ands shes just got distracted.

Very organised - did Miss Hoodie 50 bags of renideer food last ngt - worked out 7p bag - shes going to sell them for 50p, and then doing her a little emergency sweet pack, have 3 pcks of popping candy - tango flavours and 3 sherbert straws - they work out at 33p - again 50p

sorted out the xmas cards didn't want and put them together into sets - again 50p depending on the tyoe of card - pack of 4 - A3 sized cards through to 20 little kids card

Need a few ideas that can do as cheap as poss, sell for 50p.

As Miss Hoodies having her own stall at the school fair, so thought keep it to 50p easier to add up and she hasn't got to worry so much about change.

was thinking of doing snowman soup, but using foodbag and put 2 measures worth of hot choc, then add marshmellows seperate bag, candy cone, postcard of soup, (3 yrs ago there still loitering!!) use cheap food bags then pop it all in a cello bag - reckon that be 20p to make and sell 50p.

Give you all a laugh - I went to the hospital yesterday to pick up my breathing monitor, got to the hospital and the machine got broke, but not to worry they have another machine - but this machine just measures my pulse!! - but its not my pulse that needs checking its my breathing as they think I stop breathing at ngt and grunt myself back to breathing...

Pop the device round my wrist, the pulse on my finger - what a ngt thumped myself in the eye 3 times, (wonder haven't got black eye) nearly dropped it down the loo!! but its gone back. so fingers crossed! xx

Cdsmiler... The giraffe is from America , he inflatable about 7ft high wears a Santa hat and has a book in his hand. Twas the night before Xmas . He's very big . When I put him him I'll take some photos to show what I mean...

Mum 2 one. - one thing that was very popular at my craft fair was a tea bag. I put a tea bag in a box. A quite a bit bigger than than the tea bag. I made them out of paper. And put a verse on the front . Something about sitting under the tree at half past three or something. ( it on my PCM at home) when's the craft fair. ?? I made 20 and Colin put 75p on them ... They all sold out in minutes!

Krissymas - other than toiletries hamper which always looks more than what it is. You could make a sweet tree if your a crafty person. And have a glue gun. I made four out of two tins of quality street. (QS £3.99 in sains , £4 in mr t. ) I got the pots from boots ale 10p each. And put some stones in bottom from field.... And a stick. The foam ball asked nice at 4 different florists to sell me one for a £1 .

Could do a night in at a movie hamper. DVD from £1 shop , some sweets , mini bottle of wine 89p in home bargain. And a bag of sensations.

    Looks more than it is...

Or how about a £10 Starbucks voucher. They're currently £5 on living social deals and you can gift it.
