We have a stall Sunday Mum2one which I think will be a flop. Havent got to pay for the stall thank goodness, its in a garden centre but its not a very big one and a bit out in the sticks so not sure how many potential customers will be there. Going to be cold too but thought it was worth a shot as OH is at work all day so would only be sitting here. Good luck with your one xx0

Hi all
How did your craft fares go mum2 one and Rufus. Everyone saying not many people buying. I must have been lucky.
I missed Santa and reindeer yesterday . Completely forgot they were at shopping centre. I'm so engrossed making a church. Got distracted from the band stand.
Not done much today. Went to a trade shop that sell lovely things but couldn't find anything that took my eye. Seem to be doing alot of shopping on Internet as shops seem to have the same old same old. Anyone else noticed this. I went in debenhams as I had some vouchers and had to ask did they have any Christmas gifts because I couldn't see any. They were tucked away on the the top floor at the back.
I also found a ladies bag so I handed into the nearest shop and they alerted security. Hope the lady who lost it has got it back. . Didn't like to look in it but the shop guy did.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hi Susan, craft fair was fun but no customers buying. Made about tenner on the day but had sold something through my Folksy shop that morning so bumped up the takings a bit. Was a good day though although quite cold and was glad to get home. We were supposed to be doing another one same place on the 22nd but I have cancelled it as dont think there will be the customers about. Plus its OH's only day off before he works all over Christmas so will be nice to spend the day with him. My niece is taking some of the little bits and pieces into work to see if she can sell anything else off, especially the Christmas stuff.0

I know what you mean about craft fairs rufus, one of my friends went sat and made 40p.....she then took her things sunday and made nothing....
buyings very strange this year shops dont appear to have much stock and they`re saying they`re not reducing prices any further as they need the stock...its so odd.
I`ve been to numerous shops and its so quiet...
I was asked to do a school fair but told them I have no stock...I have some but have other things to do....I need a years notice...lolChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Did I miss a link to your Folksy shop Rufus?
Susan, I agree its strange this year. I dont know if the shops have under ordered this year of things or what but the shops in our town have just about sold out of things like christmas stuff, I went up today to get chocolate coins for the kids, and some extra decs and bits and the shelves were empty. Wilkinsons have cut their stock down from 3 aisles to one and a half already. Cant see there being much of a sale this year in there.0 -
I have broadband......... my darling broadband connection went up the swannie, sat and the company say its not there fault, its a fault on the line, BT say not them, back to the broadband company, apparently I have a router that doesn't belong to me, (doh they gave it me 4 yrs ago!!), but there send an engineer out (from India !!), but its £100 b4 they set through the front dr.
So a phone call to BT to see what they can offer, I'm having the infinty very posh as theyve just upgraded our area about 3 mths ago and as a sweetner for changing there chucking in 12 months BT vision in for free, so thats going in mum and dads rm. Unfortunatly it doubles my internet cost, but signal the quality got to go for that.
The fayre - good news ........
Miss Hoodie made £21 on her stall
I made £54 between 3 stalls
There was no one really buying, the local paper put the wrong date in, and my prediciton about trouble was right...
Miss Hoodie got bullied in a round about way, they obviously forgot she was in the room, and had the knives out for me, she was that close to screaming thats my mum your talking about. We have had a hell of a time, we have had to have her to the doctors theyve diagnosed a stress attack,
Thats only the half of it........ I spent 2 hrs last ngt at the police station giving a statement, as I'd been verbally assualted, threatened, very nearly hit - that was by another parent, the police are taking action.
I had a choice of bringing complaints against 4 of the parents, and hope we got somewhere or go for the ringleader (who was the one who did the most damage) so I went for the ringleader, she will be visited by the police and dealt with.
Had a ngtmare - triggered IBS attack, sickness with stress and Miss Hoodie, thought 2ngt go xmas shopping, and c if I could get a 3DS XL, on offer in sainsburys - sold out, pass to when there coming in, pop to argos, £40 dearer!!
Thought treat us to a few bits from £1shop - she had some candy floss and had an anaphylaxis shock, poor dad goes to get the car (parked about 5 mins from house), I end the neighbour facing there dr, - she rushed us to the medical centre, and they treated Miss Hoodie, shes got to rest for 24 hrs.
Is there anything else to go wrong!!
Sorry for the long update, haven't heard anything from Mary, hope shes ok.
rufus - sorry about the craft fayre, and totally agree with Susan about the net, most of Miss Hoodies stuff have come from amazon, theres nothing really jumping out around town, even the retail parks don't seem to be xmassy. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Blimey Mum2one, what a nightmare for you both! Hope the police sort it out for you, I cant believe how cruel some people can be to others and think they can get away with it, and doing it in front of kids too, what does that tell them? Glad you made a bit of money between you, but still doesnt compensate for what happened does it.0
