Argument partly my fault, partly Mums. I'm stubbon but she refuses to acknowledge something she blatantly said six months ago! She denies ever saying it!

Thanks hun. The more she nags me the less I'm likely to do something. After 30 years she hasn't worked that out yet so we're just as bad as each other!

Anyway - love to you all - I'm off to pub to discuss Australia! :j

    Updates:

Right, it’s the 27th, meaning, Amex statement day.

I have set myself a bidget of £600 from the 26th of March to the 26th of April (which included treatments.) My statement balace is….. £592.19 :) ta da!! I have stayed within my budget even though I have paid my orange bill, and for three treatments (and for food, and even bought a skirt, and got my shoes heeled, and stayed for shabbat meals twice, and all… amazing, I am really happy about it.

So payday will be the tenth of May and for this I have put a budget of £100 for 15 days which is almost impossible to do but I can try… basically if I can do it (no treatments though). So then on the tenth of May its going to be payday… and its going to be £1400 so, £700 of this will go to amex,£400 will go to rent £100 will go to mum (I owe her this) and the rest (£200) will go towards the debt. I know this is not an awful lot. But I must pay mum. Actually, this is quite dissappointing, I am getting in the bad mood now. What's going on? How come I have only 200 to throw at debt?

Actually, I might rethink that. I might just pay £600 to amex (to cover the statement so that I wont get charged interest, and the additional £100 goes towards the debt. I think that’s quite sensible. I will do that.

I really need to reduce my debt quickly. I want to get rid of it. I hate it and I despise it. I just can't think straight about it because all I see is that I don't even have a penny of my own because eI am in bloody debt. I am getting desperate as I am writing, actually. Ihate my debt, I hate it, I just so hate it I cant even tel you. I hate that I can't pay it back right now, this moment.
    Total debt £3625.07. :o

Hi Deliciosa, I don't think I've posted before, although I always read your diary, and really admire how determined you are. I know it can be frustrating when you have months where you can't throw as much as usual at the debt, but try and sit back and look at the big picture - you have achieved so much in a short space of time, and £200 is still a nice healthy chunk of money to repay. Is your sig still correct - total debt £2200? If so, by paying the £200 your debt will reduce to £2k, from £5340 only just over 6 months ago....that's fab!

Hi Snaggles, thanks for coming in and posting!

You're right, you're right but you know how it is… I don’t want to enjoy thwe journey to being debt free, I just want it right now! I have wasted so much time, so much money and I have been so scared, I just want it to be all over, I am tired of havin to allocate payments towards my debt, I hate that I made opurchases two yeas ago that I have not paid back yet, and I know its my fault but I just hate it so much and I want it to go away….

Sig not cortrect anymore, current debt is £2500 (spending on amex, treatments and stuff, as outlined before….) so throwing 200-300 will still make it more than £2000. But then again, that's good as well and soon I will have things to sell on ebay and I might not need three treatments in may/june anyway… and someone owes me £80, that will come in too…

Actually, if we put it that way, I have reduced my debt in 6 months time by £3000 which is an average of £500 a month - wow that’s not bad actually. :)

I just see your sig - baby daughter?? Aww that's amazing!!!!!!!!! I bet you're really happy :) what will be her name?

    HI

This is the first time that I have posted. I have done the same thing. I spent spent spent on the credit cards and just paid the minimum payment. I am ashamed but proud that I did sort it out eventually. I also got a loan for a holiday how stupid but that will be cleared in a few months!! Everyone makes mistakes but at least you have learned the lesson and it will make you stronger.

Be proud of what you have learnt in the long run.

Lol, I know the feeling - I think it's one of those journeys that you will look back on with pride, but not so much fun while you're actually going through it. But you really have achieved a lot, and as someone said the other day (I can't remember who, so apologies if I quote you incorrectly :)), even if you take 2 steps forward and one step back, you are still moving slowly forward.
I just see your sig - baby daughter?? Aww that's amazing!!!!!!!!! I bet you're really happy :) what will be her name?

She's going to be called Natasha :D and I can't wait!! Thanks!
