AFAIK they don't any more.Err No it don't Orange pulled the plug on the 2g signal to 3 about 4-5 mths ago.
Like said on here OP take the £100 and the phone back,
Err incorrect again...
I often roam on to 3's 2G partner. HSDPA drops and is
replaced by GPRS ans R so its either orange or somebody
else they use for a 2G connection
I believe they only dropped the 2G signal in areas where
they are fully covered by their 3G signal0 -

Yeah you are right there is a few places that still get 2g but 3 will be turning them of soon and the reason why is because there 3g signal as got a lot better
3 have to pay Orange for every phone call and text sent by 2g that's the real reason there stopping the 2g.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

thanks for all the replies,
been thinking and depending on the figures which i should be told soon, it might be worth taking the lowest priced contract at £19x 8 months so £152 total price meaning i get to keep the phone and i could then possibly make some use of the reduced contract potentially and i can then either just sell the phone privately on ebay etc or use a site such as Mazuma Mobile or one of the alternatives and get a small amount of cashback on top of what they pay for my phone as it seems recyling the htc desire i would get around £75+ so that would work out cheaper than returning the phone to 30 -
i think paying the hundred would be better for you wots the point in running 2 contracts one which u wont be using
i thought 3 were useless but they seemed to offer a fair few options to get out which they didnt really have toWhat goes around-comes around0
