What good will that do, customers can still return their 50% off purchases and rebuy at 75% off.

I work at Boots, have a friend in the know and have phoned my local Boots store.. I can confirm the 75% off sale will either start tomorrow or it won't.

All I know is, I phoned my local store first thing today and was told it starts tomorrow, but this is Boots and they do like to change their mind, so who knows. I have an appointment in town tomorrow so I wont lose anything by nipping in. Good Luck to anyone staying up to check if website says anything, I had 2 hours sleep last year:eek:. Never Again lol :rotfl:

I need to go to the retail park in the morning anyway so if it is on - all is good if not, I'll go again next week. Though I probably won't get anything as I wasn't that impressed when things were full price, and that old adage 'If you wouldn't have paid full price for it - it ain't a bargain'

I had a nice surprise from Boots today. As you may have read previously my main Boots order went missing and 2 items were missing from another order.

This afternoon I had an email come through on my iPhone and in addition to the £25 worth of points they gave me for the missing parcel last week they have also compensated me with a further 1000 points and 25% off my next online order between the 11th January and the 24th for the missing items!!! The items missing weren't even worth £10, they were only the photo pens!!

I didn't expect either amounts but have to say I'm very grateful at how they have handled the issues. Whilst I was annoyed I didn't get my order and the things I wanted it as in turn resulted in me gaining from the whole experience and it's rare this kind of outcome is achieved with other companies, you normally get your refund and that's your lot.

I will take them up on their 25% online deal (especially if the 75% sale goes online), however if the 75% doesn't appear online or the code doesn't work with sale items I will still order our everyday toiletries and then collect my 4173 of pending points add them to the 10946 I already have on my card and get some bits from the 75% sale in store using my points. I doubt there'll still be a £150 worth of sale stuff i'll actually want but will be nice to know what I do manage to get will be free!!!

Lola-Lou, I'm sure what Jodie+Matt was trying to get across is that each year we get information from various sources, and SA's are always the last to know, we usually know before the majority of them do. However some of them who are established users (not a dig at you or anyone else) have posted helpful information the last few years in relation to signage being put up etc. If it is correct that SA's will not be informed until the end of the day, then currently any SA information posted will not be relevant as 'everyone finds out at the same time'. However regional managers and maybe store managers do know in advance which is why a few have said the 18th.

Hope we have some news later

Except it would be 25% off the 75% off price..

So an item originally priced @ £10 would be £2.50 in the 75% off sale and then £1.88 taking into consideration the further 25% code

I'm still none the wiser, on the one hand we have several posts here from people in the know (or friends of people in the know) who have it confirmed that it's starting tomorrow, on the other hand we have at least an equal amount of posts from equally knowing people, saying that it will be next week if at all!!

the only thing I do know is I am going to pop by my nearest large Boots straight after I drop kids off tomorrow morning, and have a look what's going on!! You know, just in case....
