went to the chester store on wednesday, there was 6 rows of gifts, omg, people were pushing each another out of the way, i went at 10am, and i saw people coming out with 6 large carry bags, putting them in car, then going back in....it was mad. we went into boots the day before to see what i wanted to get in the 75% sale for the next day....i got what i wanted, a couple of gifts for next year for my best friend, then bought some other items but i treated myself, as i never done. so i was very happy when i came out.
saying that i think people were buying things just because they were "cheap". they are not cheap if you do not NEED them!! as everyone WANTS, as they say.
my mum went in a few hours after me and there was not that much left, just to odd item like xmas cards.0 -

For once I have had to stay in all day - typical - and so I haven't been able to get a second look.
But from past experience people do take things back and they do end up back on the shelves, so it is just luck and timing that you are there when a desired item pops back up.
Yesterday there was a damaged box set in the reduced section with a reduced sticker on (£9.00) but you knew for a fact that it would scan at 75% off (and be £4.50) if the clearance sticker wasn't on. There must be a few of those around but things would need to be explained to the checkout staff.
Probably just as well I have been forced to stay in today.....would either be dismayed at the empty shelves or end up buying for the sake of it being 75% off.0
