Yes good luck to all, was interesting reading all the comments on other sales threads too, but can never bring my self to go in the rush, perfer online or just keeping an eye out on the reduced section or the clearence stores or going for sale items that are unlikely to cause stampedes.
Hope there is something left for those of us who don't want to brave the crowds and pushing and shoving.
Having said all that I may peek in window if I'm doing any drop offs near one. : )0 -
Wish everyone the best in the even more discounted sale tomorrow!!! I am going to give it a miss this year. Last year was a nightmare. Too many people snatching, arguing and just clearing shelves into bin bags. The lady next to me in the queue had already been to one store and spent a few hundred pounds and was about to double that. The poor staff were shoved out of the way when they started rolling the cages out. Spent my money in Body Shop and Lush sales this year. Have a few points left so if they have anything left when I go in at the weekend may buy something but to be honest it is normally something I don't need and ends up in the Christmas raffle at work. Got all my S&G in the sale and my No7 so really pleased.
I can have a laugh at EBAY tomorrow when people put it on for even more than it was in the 50% sale.
Agree 100% , Am just going to pop into a smallish branch tomorrow afternoon to spend my points and if there's nothing there , oh well , its not exactly a matter of life or death is it? lol :rotfl:
( Mind you beginning to sound like it IS on here!) lol

This is going to be my first 75% off boots sale !!

Is the sale going to be online too ?
TIA:j0 -
I have taken my little ones every year and never had a problem (the last 3 years) I tend to know exactly what I want grab it and then go not stressful and the kids don't even bat an eyelid although they are very used to shopping by now!!
I would rather go on my own of course but thats not an option! and Boots happens to be opposite toddler group where we are going after I hope I haven't jinxed it now!! Some of the stories I have heard on here are truly awful. Happy shopping everyone I'm off to route out my ikea bag :j

Yes I spent £100 on stuff I didn't need last year but it was a bargain! No one could ever accuse me of being adversely smelly though. I think all the blokes and teenagers are getting fed up of getting Boots sale smellies for Christmas so this year will try and be a little more imaginative. Maybe I should just go back to the socks, slippers and hankies for the blokes.
Good luck to all the Boots 75% sale newbies. It will be an eye opener. Fareham didn't have a lot last weekend. Some Frontcover, a small amount of No 7, lots of small Sanctuary sets, some small FCUK for the blokes, GU and Starbucks. Approximately four small rows of shelves left with sales stock and very few toys.0 -
Does anyone know what the dartford stock is like? I usually go there instead of bluewater as I'm too scared!0

Will give it a go tomorrow, thanks for the heads up. Just checked online and my store opens at 8.30, which is handy as I can pop in there as soon as it opens and (hopefully) pick up a few bits before going across the road to work for 9. Think that may be a better idea than going over there at lunchtime in case the looters get there beforehand!28/04/11 - A bad day for shoppers everywhere (Tesco shoppers that is!) RIP DTD :A0

Dartford had hardly anything left yesterday. Bluewater shelves and shelves full though. Get to Bluey for ten when it opens you will be fine.0

Jeepers, Bluewater would eat up most of the stores over here in NI. Unless I'm going mad though, there doesn't seem to be anywhere near as much stock over here at sale time. If there's anyone from Belfast/North Down on here would they be so kind as to tell me what previous sales have been like and which stores (preferably Bangor/Ards and East Belfast but not City stores) are the best bet?
Many thanks as I'm a Boots sale virgin (I gave up at 7am 2 years ago waiting for the sale to come online).0 -

Not your side of the water Caz but definitely not as much stock as previous years anywhere I've looked. One store I visited today usually has a couple of Sale shelves near the entrance with the rest upstairs, this year nothing at all downstairs it's all their normal half price offers like toothpaste and baby stuff.
A nice SA did let on starting today (have noted past my bedtime) and said that she thought that not as much stock had been ordered in the first place. And that it had been selling well at 50%. So looks like why not online just not the quantities left this year. I expect someone got their maths nearly right for a change.0
