12 month contract.

Mine was fitted today and it's plenty quick enough for me. Was paying £23.99 p/month with Onetel 2mb unlimited ADSL.

There is a £25 connection fee, but you get a £10 discount for ordering online.

I pay 10 pounds a month with AOL, and this is indefinite rather than a limited offer. You have to call and ask for the 10 pound tariff as they don't advertise it. Free connection/modem too.

I have a feeling even if you are an existing telewest/ntl customer if you rang explain you know about the offer and then threatened to take your custom elswhere if you dont get the same they'd offer you it. ;)

NTL/ Telewest or now Virgin Media has used this BB offer as a hook for nearly two years now. Usually a time limited offer, with the basic package ( 2meg at mo). At the end of the twelve month period they will continue to give you the same price if you threaten to leave. Usually for a further 6 month period with the offer to re apply after that.

I spoke with AOL re this offer and they have confirmed that it is no longer available and that it was only for customers switching from another BB provider!

It was also a non tie in contract (1 month) and no modem. I set this up for a friend a while ago, perhaps if you hassle them they will honour it.

Remember telewest and AOL are on quidco.
  • I live in a recently built (2003) block of flats in NW london, reckon I'll be able to get this? NTL seem unsure because I have two different postcodes, one postcode says yes, the other says no......!
