I have a 1.5 Nissan Almera.
I want cheap tyres. £30 cheap. Not £50 - £75, it's a Nissan not a Bentley.
Where are they all?

You aren't allowed to talk cheap tyres on here! It's the only think keeping you on the road, each tyre only makes a postcard size contact with the road etc etc. Sorry, I shouldn't be facetious.
Anyways... I noticed my usual tyre had gone up about 15% on blackcircles then it came down again. Shop around is my advice.0 -
What size?0

Part worn from the local scrap yard. Most will fit them too. Prices from £8 a corner in my area. Bargain!0

We had a visit from a well known tyre manufacurer at work (oh, the fun we have at work!) and some of the cost is related to the price of oil - something like 7 gallons of oil is used to make one tyre apparently0

Cant find anything less than £50 fitted.
Size is 185/65HR150 -

Part worn from a few quid on ebay.
I've found tyres on rims are cheaper though. I've had bargains on the right rim for my car from 4 for £20.
I've also had two for 99p on the wrong rims, cost me a tenner each to get them fitted to mine.0 -

Love to know where these scrap yards full of cheap tyres are. Our local ones sell all the tyres to a local Second Hand Tyre Specialist who then flogs them on for £100 for 4.
Tyre fitters charge £15 per wheel to fit, so £160 for 4 (195/65/15) is the cheapest I can get0
