There was one of these in my store the other day (scanned at £13, had no SEL). What is the upscaling bit please? I didnt exactly know what it was, so I left it. Was that a mistake? Thanks IA
To be honest I don't know one end of a DVD player from another but I needed a new one and so got it anyway.
On the box it says 'Upscales standard DVD into 1080p' but I don't really know what that means
For £13 it is a cute little DVD player with a remote control so even if I can't see what the 'upscaling' has done I will be happy anyway. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

As they were in limited supply I had to give reasons why I thought I should receive some. So I told them that I was a lonely farmer with a new large flock of sheep and week after week for months a big huge padded envelope full of condoms and lube arrived at mums house.0 -

Seriously?? OMG you are lucky they didn't arrest you or send the RSPCA round :eek:0 -
Spent a fair bit more later on when I picked up an Xmas tree & lights for next Xmas, some more cheap toys (sorry but cleared out K'na'G spirallingdown) and even made it home with 2 minutes to spare before 'He who shall not be named' turned up.
Anyone found a cheap portable DVD player here in NI? I thought I was getting one for £25 today but alas they couldn't find it in the stock room. Would really appreciate any PMs from the locals if they spot one
Trying to catch up
Caz Thanks for letting me know re emptying Kn0cknag0n3y just as well I didn't go tonight
Any of the dvd players I've found have scanned at the SEL price:(
On another note I did find the mary berry xmas cupcake mixes in N3wt0wnards, they had boxes and boxes of them. Must have go a new delivery of them as they were sitting at the end of an aisle in a big pile, only took the 1 packet but saw a lady with about 10 asking for discount at CS  :rotfl:
Also DS got a DTD on the Tech Deck case for storing the mini scateboards, stickered at £8.50 (half price toy sale) but scanned at £10SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

Hello greedy Facef**kers!
Sorry, its still raw:rotfl:
Yes, I can understand that given how things have evolved. Although I didn't feel a need to join I defended the actions of those who I thought were well intentioned. I even got PMs thanking me for that but now, with the benefit of hindsight and the lack of appearances of certain people, I'm not so sure that I should have given my support.:(Awaiting a new sig0 -

I know what you mean
Ex [STRIKE]decided[/STRIKE] dictated that we should have a 7 seater car for 5 people, 1 of whom was rarely in it (kid from 1st marriage). He bought a heap of junk from the auction which came complete with dings, scratches and even a broken wing mirror that wasn't listed on the auction details but he knew best. £500 and 4 new tyres later I'm driving an automatic (with flappy paddles should I feel the need to go into semi-automatic mode) with a fan belt that's about to snap and 3 windscreen wipers that need replacing seemingly only by the dealer as Halfrauds don't stock the ones my car needs. Oh and an mpg of around 25
How on earth do people prefer automatics to manuals. Unless it's the car I have, how do you do something so simple as just edge forward a bit without either taking off up the street or almost stalling? Give me clutch control any day. Anyone wanna buy my car :rotfl: But apart from that it's .... nah it's still a heap of0 -
excuse my ignorance but what/who are 11+ers?0

And you. My local is Stockton Extra so if you see me posting without mentioning a store that's what I'll be referring to. They have the flystrips in my local but I only took one to "tick the box":rotfl: as I know from previous experience that they are worse than useless:)Awaiting a new sig0
