I'd really like to thank the following people:
- whoever first posted about making butter from whoopsied cream
- whoever said to retain the buttermilk for other things
- whoever suggested using buttermilk to make scones
I wouldn't as I've not found a single bloody pot of whoopsied cream in any store since it was mentioned.......oh, with the exception of hinckley which must have had 150 pots at 10p each on the day I wouldnt get near a food mixer or a fridge for 48 hours!!!
Think me and home made butter are not destined to happen! :rotfl:0 -

Aww Fudge that was lovely of you, I hate the show as well as I find him so condescending and I want to shout at him!
Thanks Beki and yes....DITTO!!Oh Fudge I had no idea, it must take a lot for you to admit it so well done xx
EDIT: Hope that didn't sound condescending xx
As for the other girl, they have a position of responsibility, I am very very shocked that they offered no counselling, do you know how she is now? Did she manage to recover?
Oh no kadison, bless you!It didn't sound condescending, though I'm not really a 'typical' anorexic. I mean this in the sense that I never thought I looked fat in the mirror, I ate chocolate every single day I was anorexic and I wanted to get better from day one so therefore I wanted to talk talk talk if that's what I needed to do to stop it. I didn't want to rely on food or the absence of food to make me feel worthy of life, I wanted the support of my family....and I'm sure you've gathered from my posts how that went! So it didn't take me much to admit I was anorexic at all, infact I make a point of telling people if the subject or something related arises. There is WAY too much stereotyping and misunderstanding about mental illness. I think it's crucial to society considering the sharp incline of mental illness diagnosis, that people are more aware and have better knowledge. I'm moe than happy to play my part in increasing awareness and understanding
As for the girl on JK, we lost touchShe was much better at the end of our conversations than at the beginning so I hold out hope that she recovered. I often wonder, it's such a powerful and demanding illness with a 20% death rate so it takes some going to beat it!
EDIT: Just to add, I've re read my first bit of this post and it sounds like my anorexia was a breeze and that's not what I'm saying at all. It's completely and utterly soul destroying and when the eating disorder got mixed in with all the other things, I'd say it took about 6 years of tears and bloomin hard work for me to see light at the end of the tunnel. When I said I didn't see a fat person in the mirror, I should have put that I saw a skeleton and that matched how I felt. I felt I deserved to look like a bag of bones because I was invisible and I didn't feel like I was worthy of eating anything I liked. I ate chocolate sort of as a punishment to myself, I'd have a bit of a bar and feel like I'd succeeded if I didn't have another bite etc etc.... I don't wanna make this really dark and awful but felt I should explain!'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

Just popped on to say don't waste your time going to Sl0ugh extra. I stopped there on my way home from work tonight, in search of telescopes or other bargains for my cousins kiddies. There wasn't anything interesting at all. Just got 4 of the bin fresheners and a £1 finest xmas pud for mum and dad.0
