Hi all,
Not been able to keep up for ages, my ME seems to be getting worse and I'm not good at pacing etc. Have also become quite dispondent with my local Ts, When I can make it I go armed with a list, but find nothing, However yesterday I found a side of salmon ready to bake with thyme butter in the frozen section reduced from £5 to £2.50. Great I thought and got 2. Had one for tea and OH asked where it was from /caught so looked at box  Produced in China for Tesco. That put him right off (because of the radiation leaks in the Pacific) So my one bargain backfired and went in the bin. Not very mse I know.
On a better note today I went to Mountain warehouse and decided to treat myself to a new coat/jacket (first in 10 years) and picked up one reduced from £80 to £20. When the I went to the till it was £15:j. Then nipped into M and Co to look for tops for OH and again was dissapointed but did find a little speaker for mp3/phone from £12 to £4. It's rechargeable so won't drain batteries. Lastly called into waitrose and stocked up on boxes/tins of biscuits all reduced by 75 percent :jNow have enough to last months.
Also our local boots have started reducing stock down. Hope this helps some one0 -

I like mountain warehouse....if you dont mind doing your shopping way out of season there are some corking bargains to be had. Of course, once you've bought your bargain it helps not to leave it in a hotel somewhere in the back of beyond............but thats another story! lol
Your salmon was probably grown in a scottish loch but processed in china hence the label. I wouldn't worry too much and you did get a good deal.
ME....been there....still wear the T-shirt from time to time.0 -

I was sort of ok with the salmon but Oh was not and so easier to chuck rather than argue. Mountain warehouse always have a bargain rail in the entrance and it calls to me. I was so chuffed, got 2 jackets for OH last spring so great to finally find one for me. I generally shop in the charity shops so have trouble getting my head round spending more than a tenna on one item lol. As for ME it's full steam or stop. I just can't seem to get the hang of pacing, especially when I'm also carer for OH and lon distance carer/organiser for MIL and FIL. Any tips on pacing are welcome. also have fibro/early artho and hypermobility. Seem to be more hyper than mobile though lol0 -

Bought well over a fivers worth & it wouldn't scan SA said it had to be Ben & Jerrys, I pointed out that was wrong & it should be all frozen food but she couldnt get it to scan. Goona email CS as I didnt want to make too much of a fuss having then got her to put through McCains vouchers, Aunt Bessie vouchers & managing to get her to scan some 1p stuff without realising (ahhh, love the distraction, sorry art of conversation!) Also got some of the 50p BE chicken in korma sauce so thanks Op for that.
One of the 1p items was the Tetleys Teabag handy packs. This store didnt have them a couple of months ago when they were trending on here & tonight I managed to get the last 4 left on the clipstrip. Just goes to show it pays to keep an eye out on the old stuff too, who knows whats kicking about in the warehouses! Also found a box full of Sienna Gold lighterson top shelf but these looked different to the piccies ive seen of everyones, these were just a long silver stick rather than having a handle/trigger type bit at one end will they scan at 1p? The scanners in this store have been OOO since the FB debarcle occured!
My coupon went through fine, 5 packs of McCains oven chips, minus £1 sun voucher, minus 5 McCain vouchers = £1.50
Edit: Saw a croc bin odour in the clearance section £1.45 . Lol0 -

Stuff pacing.........not enough, too much, just right.....varies from day to day so just do as you please and sleep off the excess! I've long since given up trying as it totaly rewrites the rule book anyway!
I can do 'too much' but it isn't and on the other hand I can do next to nothing and crash. IMO its not what you do its what state your bodies chemistry is in when you do it that matters.0 -

Sienna Gold lighters - I scanned one of these today, came in at £2 for mefreddies_flyers_two wrote: »Thanks, they were in the warehouse cardboard box but on clipstrips stickered at £2, so wonder if these are the new style & the others were RTC.scanned the gold and red ones today gold ones have stickers over the barcodes red ones didnt but they both scanned at £2 maybe worth looking out for the gold ones without stickers
I've found 3 of the Sienna Gold lighters but they weren't the more popular stick version, they were more like a BBQ lighter. Found a pic of one on their website. I stand corrected if other ones are scanning cheap but these are the ones I've found (two in a superstore, one in an express).
