Good evening everyone, feeling much better today, thank you. I've already caught up only took a few hours :p:o

So I've discovered you can't quote more than 3 in a post so I've quoted the first 3 people that referenced my dilemma from last night. So having read everyone's posts and wrote a list as I went....my thanks also go to midwinter, Sharon-P, Beki88 and queen of cheap :D:T I think that's it but if I've missed anyone else, my sincere appologies and thank you too!

After much deliberation I decided I had to go into my local and appologise as if I phoned CS the message would most likely not be relayed and I'd still feel like eyes were on me everytime I went, especially for a glitch! :eek:One of my fav SA's at CS phew!! Explained what happened and she disappeared for what seemed like a lifetime to talk to the checkout manager, I was so nervous :o But when she returned she said they really appreciated my honesty and as a nice gesture they'd let me have the goods on the house :T *Biggest sigh of relied ever!* So THANK YOU everyone and like you said kadison, it just didn't sit well with me at all to not appologise but that's probably because I'm a paranoid bag of nerves on a good day :p:rotfl:

I'm glad you got it sorted, and how nice of them to let you have the stuff anyway!

I so agree, having been a mystery shopper for over 12 years nothing phases me, I have had to go into a high street sex store and test out B.O.B's (battery operated boyfriends) on the tip of my nose, so a tiny, "can you cancel this please" is nothing to me :D

Is that how you got your user name then? :D

Oh no, Bob Holness has died?
Bless him, such a 'gentle' man. I remember in my student days we used to get free tickets to go and see Blockbusters being recorded at central studios near Nottingham.

He and that game show were fantastic, a good age to get to (83) I think, hopefully he had a happy life x

Alongside making butter I found a new use for double cream today. It was a friend's birthday and I always make them something so today I made Whoopie Pies.

Something I didn't mention earlier......I once watched a JK show about eating disorders and there was a girl that was anorexic and it was obvious she really needed someone to talk to and that she was only there as her Mum had forced her. So I contacted the show and explained that I had been anorexic and could they pass my number onto her. She called a couple of days later and we chatted quite a lot over 6 months and she was in a terrible state. She said the show didn't even offer any counselling and she sounded like a very genuine person who I could relate to. So I have no respect for that programme, infact I hate it!
Aww Fudge that was lovely of you, I hate the show as well as I find him so condescending and I want to shout at him!

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Oh Fudge I had no idea, it must take a lot for you to admit it so well done xx

EDIT: Hope that didn't sound condescending xx

As for the other girl, they have a position of responsibility, I am very very shocked that they offered no counselling, do you know how she is now? Did she manage to recover?
How much? I'll buy them off you!!! :D

Ironing boards - sorry forgot to multi-quote as I went along. If anyone can recommend a good one that won't wobble, is sturdy enough for kids to not easily knock over and has fairly talls height settings (I'm 5' 8" so don't want to be leaning over with my bad back to iron). I'd always promised myself if I had the money I'd get a decent one and I think spending hours doing surveys when the kids are in bed counts as a reward.

I can't remember who asked but at the minute I'm working on Valued Opinions and Toluna. I had £3.50 sitting in VO from 2010 but I started doing the surveys after the marriage collapsed so I had something to distract me. That was at the end of July and since then I have received £40 and I'm close to another £10 (you can only redeem in £10 batches). Toluna is slow going but I'm almost ready to redeem £15 towards Amazon. I've done well from TopCashBack as well hence a healthy balance of credit in Amazon.

I'd really like to thank the following people:

    - whoever first posted about making butter from whoopsied cream
    - whoever said to retain the buttermilk for other things
    - whoever suggested using buttermilk to make scones

I've just finished making up a big portion of freezer bound butter and had loads of buttermilk. When tidying up the other day I found a pack of pre-made scone mixture so gave it a bash tonight. I made a couple of wee mistakes but got there in the end and the scones are to die for. Now I'm confident doing that I'll add cherries next time and maybe even invest in pastry cutters instead of using a DTD black ringed glass to cut the scones out!
