Something I didn't mention earlier......I once watched a JK show about eating disorders and there was a girl that was anorexic and it was obvious she really needed someone to talk to and that she was only there as her Mum had forced her. So I contacted the show and explained that I had been anorexic and could they pass my number onto her. She called a couple of days later and we chatted quite a lot over 6 months and she was in a terrible state. She said the show didn't even offer any counselling and she sounded like a very genuine person who I could relate to. So I have no respect for that programme, infact I hate it!

Just out of curiosity how long can a turkey stay in the freezer for? I picked one up reduced to 3.30 from 33 currently in my mums chest freezer.

Some of the turkeys I saw in the freezer had use by 2015, so I presume a few years

    Evening all

Just caught up again. I've been to 2 T's tonight hunting for the guitars/keyboards/telescopes mentioned earlier...... no luck :(

    I did manage to get:

Air drumsticks - £1 per pack
    Plasma Orb - £2.50
Echo bot - £1 (These are all from the "How cool is that" range)

I also found an unopened box of mixed colour Illoom balloons (barcode 0059 which previously scanned at 8p)..... they went through at the shockingly high price of 18p! :D

Nothing much in the way of whoopsies except for a couple of packs of lamb steaks for 80p each (which I am going to use to try to "create something" in the slow cooker that has been living in the cupboard under the stairs since being purchased over a year ago :rotfl:).

I "had words" with a woman at the chilled reduced section this evening, she barged through everyone to get to the front, then crouched down and scooped loads of stuff onto her lap from the bottom shelf. She then spotted something on the shelf above which she wanted but couldn't reach so she asked my DS (he really wanted to come and "look for bargains" with me, he's 7) to get it for her, which he did. This again went onto her lap. She then spotted something else and again asked DS to get it for her. He reached out and went to pick something up and she said "No! Not that, that chicken, there!" I told my DS to leave it where it was and then told the woman if she wanted anything else to add to the mountain she already had in her lap, she could stand up and get it herself!

Also, I remember someone mentioning the Marmite gift sets earlier scanning cheap in M's. Not sure if they are the same sets as the ones I saw in T's (a toast rack, marmite and something else in the set) but I scanned them and they scanned at £7.00!!

    HTH :)

  • The Minnie Mouse and Snowglobes shown in this picture are not scanning as cheap in my local. Do you have the BC so I can check them. TIA

there are a number of different snowglobes. I think its only the tesco ones that are cheap.

I didn't bother as I enjoy making pastry and my mild OCD won't allow me to use shop bought pastry/sauces etc :)

Im no good at pastry:o. I only make my own at christmas for mince pies (fantastic recepie I found on good old MSE!!)

Kida love cheesy wirls made with puff pastry, and I would not have time or patience to make puff pastry from scratch!
  • Just caught up, again, but time for bed.
Hope tomorrow is good for bargains, but not too early because I'm going round grammar/secondary/high schools with DS. Can't believe it's his last year in primary school :(
Got my bloods taken again today which went very well, no bruises! I'm guessing it was my CRP level that was high because I saw part of the note the doc had left with my referal to treatment room for this and it seemed to be the only level that was higher than normal range. Also the fact that I was on antibiotics and he wanted me to wait 24hrs after the course had finished to do the bloods to see if it had helped.
Sorry waffling a bit, must be tired but gotta be at 1st school by 9am!!! way too early :)
