Explained what happened and she disappeared for what seemed like a lifetime to talk to the checkout manager, I was so nervous But when she returned she said they really appreciated my honesty and as a nice gesture they'd let me have the goods on the house :T *Biggest sigh of relied ever!* So THANK YOU everyone and like you said kadison, it just didn't sit well with me at all to not appologise but that's probably because I'm a paranoid bag of nerves on a good day :rotfl:

Not having scanners make things more difficult, but I use SS tills and if items not scan as expected then I get them cancelled, need a 'thick skin' if you have many items to try but I always think that it's unlikely I will see the assistant again so I not care what they think when they have to cancel the items..:rotfl::rotfl:

If you passed your test after 1 jan 1997 you wont have this entitlement.

It has been said that grandfather rights to drive this class of vehicle are to be removed. I can't see it happening myself but it is being talked about.

That is very true, sometimes I'm braver than other times and knowledge is power, I do like to attract the least attention if I have 1p items though - you never know when a trout's about!!!

Think I'm going to change my signature now...

No telescopes for me today and the Chianti wine had a SEL of 11.99
Think it is being lurkered (haha love that word thank you OP) as everything was so clean! Either that or I am missing it or they are good at their jobs :eek:
Found a lonely sharpie laundry pen but not in right place hunted for SEL, found clip strip full of them but had sticker on for £2.50. Bah I need a dirty store!
