Just discovered that I can't really eat the 3 multi-pack of Muller mini yogs on Slimming World, and also the 2 large Innocent apple juices I got yesterday. When I start it I want to be it properly, so I'm going to finish up what I have in the house, and start the official diet on 24 Jan.

I will continue to do my own partly healthy eating, and excercise until then :)

One for the ironers out there so mainly Nikkilala! I've inherited the ironing board the ex bought years ago and it's a heap of carp to put it mildly. I've been saving up my survey credits and now have a tidy sum in Amazon vouchers to buy one. I have my eye on this one:

Any comments please? My mum hates mesh surfaces for ironing on but I'm not too worried. I just want a sturdy ironing board that is easy to use and won't need replacement felt & covers too often.

 I never knew ironing boards were so expensive!!

Maybe if I had one like that I'd use it more often :o:rotfl::rotfl:

Evening everyone, hope you're all ok.Thanks for everyones thanks for DS, think he's still floating on cloud nine, reality will kick in soon that he's still got to pass 2 exam step papers to be able to accept the offer:eek: I've pinched his offer letter already and am going to put it in his "journal" thingie that I keep, with important stuff and events in. He had a fab day at school and one of his teachers took him in cake and goodies as a well done. They have'nt had a Cambridge offer for maths at his school for donkeys years so it's a bit special for them too. Been really, really busy today at work:eek::eek::eek:This is the first chance I've had to get on all day and trying to catch up about 40 pages! See you all in a while;)

Just a thought for you ladies with weddings this year....
If there are any of the Christmas cake bags hanging around in any of the supermarkets...(I think the Delia one is down to 49p in waitrose) and you managed to get three, it would be enough to make your own wedding cakes. And Ice them too!!
There also seems a lot of the little wedding teddies, stationary, novelties etc.
If anyone was interested in a particular theme, I'm sure if we all looked out for any matching items which wouldn't cost too much to post, we could collectively get enough for a couple of weddings!

What a super idea Purdita. I'm a relief registrar (married a couple this morning lol) and our weddings are down significantly because of the recession, so clubbing together to give a bit of friendship and support to other members would be a lovely idea.
    Hope is not a strategy.

TBH I think its in your genes no about of lotions or potions will stop the ageing process I think.

Staying out of the sun helps massively - if you don't believe me, look at the skin on the inside of your arm.

Also moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and exfoliate!!!!

Also here is a REALLY good tip for fighting the signs of ageing - and it doesn't cost anything.

Gravity pulls your features down with time, which is why so many older people look so v grumpy. To commence this exercise, place your first fingers on your eyebrows on the brow bone and press slightly ( when you know how to do it you can omit this stage). Close your eyes and try to blink. You will feel a muscle at the top of your eyeball working. Hold the position for a few seconds. Do it regularly and it will raise your eyebrows and stop the very ageing "hooding" effect on your eyelids. It's a goodie and I can only recommend it. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.

just popped by for a quick update before i go and catch up!

I only did 4 stores in the end. Nothing huge and massive like you guys :-(

    Highlights of my shopping trip

T1- reduced just-roll that went through buy one get one
T2- reduced bags of lettuce 20p buy one get one
M- 5 bunches of flowers for 5p each- bought all of them and just took out the ones that looked ok.

    This is the best one:-

    A- FREE COMFORT PURE!!

I had my coupon vouchers, and they went through at £1 for some reason, but I dont care, I got 5 bottles of comfort for nowt!

Got some other bits and bobs in asda and M too, but end result is that i have loads of stuff and paid less than £30. This will last 2 of us for about 3 months :-D)))

Looks fab...but at that price I'd want it to include someone doing my ironing for me!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
