TINY SHOES AND WOOL27
Scanner at T#wer P*** not working yesterday - they said thye had a systems glitch!!!
So no way to check out potential bargains unless you know of another location ( the one not working was by the music cds)
Oh dear they did have a big power cut on tuesday morning I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I was in there and everything went off, lights included except the self service tills :rotfl:. Power came back on and went off again a few times must have really mucked the tills up. I did have a look around and noticed that the scanner was lit up when power came back on but didn't price check anything. There is another one in the baked bean aisle still I think but that has not worked for at least a year.Very sad news indeed...wonder if all our 1p buys have been noticed, never had any problem there at self service or tills if found any.

For those that have got them do you find them useful?
I usually just do a casserole in the oven for a couple of hours, but will all my whoopsied casserole steak I was thinking a slow cooker might be useful.
T's direct have their own 3.3L capatity for £12 or a Crock-pot 1/2 price at £17.48
Sorry ...was still catching up and see so many others have suggested this.:oIf it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly!0 -

Thank you all so much for your help with it, I would never even have thought to make it if it hadnt been for you guys!
I did 1 x 600ml pot, got quite a large nobette out of it and lots of toast/bacon sandwich size nobettes too.
Got 2 more 600ml pots to do, I wanted to do just one to start with because I didnt know just how messy it would get!
Woohoo!
And pork spag bol in slow cooker as well ready for tonight :-)
Well done!
Can someone tell me how? I caught the "room temp cream, cold bowl", is there anything else i need to add? Is it double or single cream? I also caught the bit about adding salt to my liking.
Thanks in advance:):A You may be only one person in the world,

Afternoon!
Called NHS direct as the facial pulling sensation was screaming stroke-symptoms to my over-anxious hyperchondiac brain, even though my rational brain kept testing myself for facial weakness, slurred speech and not being able to lift my arms above my head, none of which applied. I still managed to whip myself into a frenzy and even started packing for a hospital stay, all the while telling myself not to be so stupid as it was probably the eye strain causing the rest of the nerves to tense up.
Decided that just in case, I would carry on packing for this supposed hospital stay and get showered and dressed in case I was told to go to A&E.
In any event she told me from the symptoms it wasn't giving her any cause for concern as it sounded like the 'trigeminal' muscles that can pull in your face if there's pressure like with severe eye strain, she also told me to get my glasses adjusted so that they were more comfortable as that could be making it worse.
At which point I burst into tears because I felt like such a fool calling up, then she was nice to me again which made it worse. She did say to get to the doctors about my increasing anxiety though as she said that sounded like the most serious thing, I was considering it anyway but having laid in bed for a solid hour this morning flitting between sobbing my heart out thinking I was having a stroke and feeling catatonic and unable to move from fear, I think she's right!
I can't keep on like this, it's no way to live. Feeling very alone though so could I have a:grouphug:please?
Sorry to go on0 -

Oh Kadison....I really can sympathise with you there. I was at the doc's yesterday regarding my migraines, and she asked if I'd been spending a lot of time recently watching TV?...."No".....Reading?...."No".....Computer?......"ermmmm...."No"
I've always had migraines and I also have menieres Disease which makes them much worse. I've tried various anti migraine treatments, including beta blockers, antidepressants etc. but the side effects have been awful. I've now been prescribed Epilepsy drugs as these apparently can help prevent them.
The thing is, being at home all day, I get bored so my laptop is on most of the time and I keep popping back to it for a regular "fix" of a couple of minutes and before I know it an hour has gone
Hope you get it sorted.....
I know what you mean, I will have to literally switch the PC off soon as I've been on here 'catching up' for far too long already!
Hope the epilepsy drugs are helping now after all your trouble xxqueen_of_cheap wrote: »Have a huge hug from me x
You did the right thing ringing NHS Direct. Thats what they are there for.
Go and make yourself a cup of tea. Switch off your computer/laptop/phone/tv and get some rest. This will fix itself in time, but if you dont rest up, it will take longer.
GO!!
xx
Oh don't worry, I'm going shopping! Gonna whack some make-up on and go out whoopsie-ing, if the wind wasn't up so much I'd even travel somewhere, but at this rate I might not even bother with Ciren and that's only 30 mins drive away!!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
