That does sound promising doesn't it. I really hope it's the news he has been waiting for. I bet your stomach is churning, I know mine would. Will be having a sneaky peek on here around 4pm later give time for the news to settle and hope you can post as think I'm feeling nervous on your behalf too.
On another note it's DD2s A level presentation evening tonight. So looking forward to that.
Just had to post this DD2 just walked in the room and I told her letter had arrived for your DS from Cambridge, she said her friends that went to Oxford had to wait for a letter too. I told her you thought it was more than one sheet and she said "What are mums like...you must feel and even sniff the letters to see if they smell of success and why don't we just let them live their lives!":o She was laughing, she thinks it's funny that I have my cyber friends.
And I forgot to say other day she said I would be proud of her as she had bought sausages for 20p at whoopsie time in Ms, she was out with her friends for the evening and they popped in for drink etc. Ah she does take after me after all. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:And yes another thing to be proud of.
Stomaches churning and I've given myself a headache;)Presentation evening, I love it and I know our kids only go for us proud mums & dads. We went to DS's and he went under sufferance for us:rotfl:My DS is amused by my cyber friends too, but is quite impressed that I've met some in "real life" now. Although at first he was a bit sort of "Mum,You don't know who you're meeting!!!" Didnt quite get the gist that we are just all tesco aholics:rotfl::rotfl:Love that she bought 20p sausages, you've definately trained her well;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Sorry to be lazy and not check back but is it any of the crunch corners that work? I've heard digestive and hoops being mentioned but I wouldn't normally eat these so have no idea but might be nice for the DS.
I got the Strawberry shortcake, digestive, toffee hoops, vanilla choc balls and banana cornflakes.
Hope this helps
I didn't try the fruit ones.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Afternoon!
Called NHS direct as the facial pulling sensation was screaming stroke-symptoms to my over-anxious hyperchondiac brain, even though my rational brain kept testing myself for facial weakness, slurred speech and not being able to lift my arms above my head, none of which applied. I still managed to whip myself into a frenzy and even started packing for a hospital stay, all the while telling myself not to be so stupid as it was probably the eye strain causing the rest of the nerves to tense up.
Decided that just in case, I would carry on packing for this supposed hospital stay and get showered and dressed in case I was told to go to A&E.
In any event she told me from the symptoms it wasn't giving her any cause for concern as it sounded like the 'trigeminal' muscles that can pull in your face if there's pressure like with severe eye strain, she also told me to get my glasses adjusted so that they were more comfortable as that could be making it worse.
At which point I burst into tears because I felt like such a fool calling up, then she was nice to me again which made it worse. She did say to get to the doctors about my increasing anxiety though as she said that sounded like the most serious thing, I was considering it anyway but having laid in bed for a solid hour this morning flitting between sobbing my heart out thinking I was having a stroke and feeling catatonic and unable to move from fear, I think she's right!
I can't keep on like this, it's no way to live. Feeling very alone though so could I have a :grouphug: please?

Has anyone tried inflating one of these Gym Balls? There's no instructions ... just 3 bits of plastic (2 'plugs' and something I imagine needs to be inserted into the ball itself). Anyway I've got the car's foot pump out but for the life of me I can't work out what I should be doing
We got one of these 3 yrs ago for DH to put his leg on when he came out of hospital after having cellulitus in his leg.
There was a red part that we added onto the pump and inserted it into the ball then pumped it up but was a nightmare to get it to stay up because it was so fiddly to get the valve out and plug in  Thankfully we didn't need it to be fully inflated but didn't think much of it if we had bought it for the intended useSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

She is not looking forward to actual presentation but is looking forward to seeing her old friends as has been so busy writing up lectures and revising, whole of hols as med school go back week early for exams which start on monday for 3 days.
She is going to come back for a few days as none of her uni friends will be in halls at all next week and can then take a well earned rest. I am going to bring back towels and bedclothes on saturday and have them washed for her to take back, just fingers crossed no bad weather gets in the way of plans as then they will be stuck down here.
I don't know about just being a Ts aholic, I've already starting peeking at the Boots thread for the gossip on the start of the 75% sale. I really don't need anything but it's been a yearly ritual for many years now. And it's nice to find other people are as mad as me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh and tip for unopened letters have you held it up to a window yet? Often you can pick out a few words like "Congratualtions", not sure how I know that one.0
