    Morning all

Its freezer delivery day :j i've been told that i *have* to let it settle for 24 hours before putting anything in it, so not off shopping for it til tomorrow.

I have been to co-op this morning and got some whoopsied double cream, so today will be butter day! I *think* i can remember the instructions, but someone said something along the lines of "room temperature cream and cold bowl" or "cold cream and room temp bowl" and i cant remember which. Anyone got any ideas?

So i whisk the cream until it kills my mixer. And then mix some more. Drain off the buttermilk, and then what?

Then you rinse it I think and you have butter, salted or unsalted the choice is yours;)

  • Hi Guys, love this forum and very grateful for all your information over the last few weeks. This is my first post, as I haven't found anything before.
    So, here goes 1st post:
Last night bought Tesco Southern Fried Mini Chicken Breast Fillets 300g (freezer section). The box says "Any 2 for £3", but the SEL says £2.50, so I bought 6 boxes and got £12 DTD, so each box only cost me 50p, excellent as we go through loads of these

For the butter - I popped 2 of the tubs into a big bowl and whisk on high until the whisks are almost "seized" and you think what the hell its all gone wrong, but a minute later it suddenly goes all "slack" (Stop tittering at the back!!") add salt if needed now (dont add salt if freezing) quickly turn off the whisk and drain the liquid off (its buttermilk if you want to use it for other things) then add about half a mug of ice cold water either whisk (be careful as its very splattery) or kneed do this 3-4 times until the water isnt milky then squeeze the water out and freeze/pop in the fridge

    Simplez :)

I used room temp cream bowl was just out of cupboard

Resist the urge..... step away from the envelope and get out of the house!!!!

Don't know if I would be able to wait until he comes home, you must be in knots.

You will just have to distract yourself in another way, maybe Mr T will have some new things today?????

    Sorry, morning everyone:)
I am currently waiting on delivery of my new phone, hopefully it will arrive soon as I have an appointment with my Guru at 12:30, and I don't want to miss it:)
