I tend to cook my beef or chicken whole as it is, just stick it in the slow cooker in the morning on low and its ready for dinner. But then I dont tend to add anything like salt or herbs etc to any of the meals I cook cos the kids moan at me lol!!

I am surrounded by very tall trees . Have a very large oak 4 paces from my front door ! .

There is a magnolia tree in my front garden and the wind howling through it kept me awake quite a lot last night too :-(

Morning all, just to say I won't be on here much for a while, or rather I'll try not to be on here as much. Basically I've spent so much time on the PC lately I seem to have developed severe eye strain, headaches, pulling sensation in my bad eye, pain around my eye sockets. Seeing the nurse tomorrow about something else so will check it isn't something else but it has been coming on gradually the last week and I've ignored it, so off the computer I go!

Will have to skim read so any updates to the list please PM me as I may well miss them

Hope you're feeling better soon :-)

I dont add any salt as the stock i use has salt in it anyway. I wont cook anything in mine if i havent added black pepper!!

    Morning all

Its freezer delivery day :j i've been told that i *have* to let it settle for 24 hours before putting anything in it, so not off shopping for it til tomorrow.

I have been to co-op this morning and got some whoopsied double cream, so today will be butter day! I *think* i can remember the instructions, but someone said something along the lines of "room temperature cream and cold bowl" or "cold cream and room temp bowl" and i cant remember which. Anyone got any ideas?

So i whisk the cream until it kills my mixer. And then mix some more. Drain off the buttermilk, and then what?
