  • Hui all Just missed about 100 pages as i spent the whole of yesterday travelling from Sheffield to Edinburgh by coach _pale__pale_ and my son got to open the remainder of his :xmastree::xmastree::xmastree: pressies so my house is like a toy shop.

I was a little  to find Hurricane Wheresmeknickers has stolen my Garden Storage Bench/box and quite a few of its contens :(
So i really need a glitch of a shed or similar:rotfl:

My Mum asked why looking for receipts was called wombling..... so me and my sister started singing the Wombling song.... and ended up changing some of the words as we were going...... I’m sure some improvements could be made... feel free to have a go! But this is our quick attempt.

    Asdaground Tescoground Wobberling’s ‘free’
The Womblers of Supermarkets common are we
Making good use of receipts that we find
Those that the Everyday folk leave behind!

Womblers are organised work as a team
Womblers are tidy and Womblers are clean

People don’t notice us, they never see
Under their noses a Wombler may be
We wobble by night and we womble by day
Looking for receipts to pricecheck away!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhh brilliant, can I possibly suggest the chorus?

    We're so incredibly utterly devious
    Making the most of JTDs
    With our wombling ways
Pick up the clubcard points and make 'em into something new
    Is what we do.....

    then of course finishing with...

Other store I had a RTC bakery item that scanned full price. Took it to CS, got the old "we don't do DTD on SS tills" nonsense. Called duty manager who looked like she'd been varnished. Anyway, I digress. Duty Manager agreed with CS lady.
Me "Why have you got the policy stickered on the SS tills then?"
CS "oh it says price on SHELF, yours is on a sticker so it doesn't apply".
ME "actually it says SHELF or PRODUCT"
CS "well you're not getting DTD you can only have a refund and here is HOs number"

End result: call to HO, very friendly chap, disgusted with the DM, will be calling the store to remind them of the policy and £5 giftcard to me.

If this happens to you - make the call!!!! I felt horrible after that trouting, knowing the store is going to get a b*llocking and hopefully saved some other poor shoppers from being overcharged has made me feel much better.

Pfft - have started slimming world and just checked how many syns in a tortilla wrap ( thinking great they will be a nice free healthy lunch ) only to find out each wrap is 10syns:eek:!
Im fortunate not to have too much weight to lose only xmas weight, but wanted to use all my tesco gliches to make it a cheap diet ! Boo !
Got loads of woopsies recently tho so lots of veggie soup and stews in the freezer as had a mega cook up y2day to stock up the freezer with handy meals. Thanks to French Knickers for whoopsie advice, I rarely get the chance to get a to a Tesco late so when I do I stock up and do alot of cooking in one day !

    Gutted !

It's the white flour wrap and the mayonnaise/other sauce that makes this high in syns. Check your list of B choices and see if there are wholemeal or other wraps on there, then you can make your own low-syn version with either a bit of syned mayo or another dressing, the chicken and salad are all free (assuming you're doing extra easy) and the wrap is possibly a B choice or lower in syns at least as it's wholemeal.
