Thanks Nikkilala for your tip with the 1p items to scan a few and pay, scan a few and pay. Managed to get a few through then the Dormans got taken off me. Trout started going through my bags:eek: I snapped "You can't have those,I 've paid for them!"
In my panic/frantic scanning I put through a few Vacuum Odour thingys that look like the bin ones but scan at £2:eek: They went back for a refund this morning, the CS lady couldn't have been more cheerful:)
Other store I had a RTC bakery item that scanned full price. Took it to CS, got the old "we don't do DTD on SS tills" nonsense. Called duty manager who looked like she'd been varnished. Anyway, I digress. Duty Manager agreed with CS lady.
Me "Why have you got the policy stickered on the SS tills then?"
CS "oh it says price on SHELF, yours is on a sticker so it doesn't apply".
ME "actually it says SHELF or PRODUCT"
CS "well you're not getting DTD you can only have a refund and here is HOs number"
End result: call to HO, very friendly chap, disgusted with the DM, will be calling the store to remind them of the policy and £5 giftcard to me.
If this happens to you - make the call!!!! I felt horrible after that trouting, knowing the store is going to get a b*llocking and hopefully saved some other poor shoppers from being overcharged has made me feel much better.
Today my local has restocked the Andrex and 4p Littlest Pet Shop toys:j It's always worth another look.
i got some of those the other day thinking they would be 1p ones, but they scanned at £2. I couldnt ask him to take them off as I had already asked him to take some pegs off and i had also had trouble with my lucozade shots, so ended up with them anyway.
They'll get used anyway so no biggie, but i would have been happier paying 1p for them than £2! !I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I take it 10 syns is bad? When I was getting married, my diet for lunch consisted of tortillas filled with chicken, salsa from M&S (the fresh one in the chillers nom nom), mixed leaves and maybe a tiny bit of grated cheese. One wrap filled me the whole afternoon and I lost a fair bit of weight. Mind you I've lost a lot more since albeit dead weight
Yeah 10 is alot for a wrap ! You are 'allowed' between 5 and 15 per day.
I am probably thin by most peoples standards ( but am very petite ) the prob is if im trying to lose the weight then I have to stick to the diet, which makes having a wrap not good.
If I was doing a healthy eating plan I would have a wrap no problem, but the other items slimming world allows would be eating way too much iykwim. So in order to stick to this plan the oep is out:mad: - i'll be having stew/pasta/stirfrys/fryups/chips etc without any syns.:rotfl:Just have to pay tesco for the ingredients0 -
BTW those of you in Lincs of who have holidayed in Lincs, is it a good destination? I am thinking of taking my May Haven holiday at either Golden Sands or Thorpe Park.....
Used to go to a family members caravan owned on a few different sites over the years, then 2010 we went to a private haven van, was I think 2nd or 3rd style that haven offer (starting from the top end of luxury), lovely and so much cheaper than haven themselves!
2011 we had a few days break in another private haven, lower end of luxury but it did us what we needed
We love Mablethorpes and golden sands had loads to do but you will need the pass but if you go private there are ways of (sometimes) getting it cheaper, pm me if you need to know more.
Tazmac is right it is an oldy style place but so lovely. If there is anything else you want to know feel free to ask x
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -

So that's three things he's good at :rotfl:

I got him to iron a bit of the curtains the other day, we've got one of those steam generator irons, they are brill!
That reminds me, OH's birthday soon. Last year I got him....an ironing board :rotfl::starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

Ouch - don't shoot the messenger!
I don't make the rules; just trying to save your a$$ (as I also did yesterday!) before Redfox catches up with you. I'm sure he's posted the reasons for this in the past, but from what I remember it threatens the status of our thread and none of us want to lose it!!!
The link is still there....0 -
