GlitchHunter wrote: »Can I clarify something on the clip strip?
I read a post about 20 pages back that made me think people have been buying the whole strip for the price of a single item on it (i.e. if the strip has a price sticker stating say 45p people are buying the whole strip for 45p?)
Or is it that more often then not the strips are either mispriced or low priced items?
Thanks in advance.
No we are paying for each item on the clip strip . If we take the whole clipstrip thats because its a good price , normally 1pThe clips strips do not normally show the reduced price so thats why we scan them to check . Then post our finds on here so others know what to look for . Hth .

I am going to look into this, I want 100% of my donation to go to the animals and the staff whom help them directly, not to some sales person on commission! TBH it is a standard mailing so HOPEFULLY it is legit and the money is going where it's needed!
TBH over the RSPCA tactics I have often felt so resentful I've considered stopping donating to them altogether, but the good they do with the animals always stops me. I support Cats protection and Cancer Research as well, neither of them hound *ahem* me like this!
I support Assisi, a local animal rescue charity in Conlig near Bangor NI. We go to all their open days and send money or donate a lot of the reduced stuff we find. They do a fantastic job and everything goes to the animals so happy enough to support themSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Regarding dog charities, my neighbour was very active with fundraising, shaking tins, doing rallies etc for over 20 years.
She only took rescue dogs and some were very hard to handle but she persevered.
Last year she heard that one of the top people ( I think president) had lost his dog and only wanted a puppy. She tried to get him a rescue but he wouldn't have it and imported one from southern ireland as he wanted a docked tail......He also takes "expenses" for going to fundraisers.
Needless to say she has finished with that charity.
That's dreadful! I always get my cats from rescue centres, in fact out of the 6 sadly departed and 2 present cats I have, only the first one wasn't a rescue as she was a farm cat. Too many people only want kittens so the older cats get left behind, I will actively seek out the ones that no-one else wants, my mum was the same. Thanks to her we spent some lovely time with a 15-year-old ginger tabby with no teeth called Harvey (he was gooorrrrrrrrrrrrrgeous and named after the Jimmy Stewart film) and a pair called Lady (who I'm still grieving for) and Mushroom. No-one wanted them, they were in the rescue centre for 3 years because they were a pair and Mushroom only had three legs, there was NOTHING wrong with him, he had no health problems, he just simply had only 3 legs and people were so superficial over it. He was the fastest cat in the world (nicknames included Hop-along Cassidy and Speedy Gonzales), had no trouble with cat flaps or anything, it beggars belief!
Nothing wrong with Harvey either except his age and the fact he could only have soft food. I actually can't think about him without welling up, he only lasted a year but he was so lovely *sniff*No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Iron descalers ? Must have missed that one
They are in a pack of 3 Oust and were on a clip strip, although I also found a few stuffed on the shelf next to the washing up liquid!
I cant believe the random places that the clip strips are located around the store. In the end I just walked up and down each aisle (at least I should be walking off some of the excess calories consumed this xmas)!!:rotfl:
Sorry Decay, just realised they aren't called descalers, it is the Iron Cleaning pads. Hope you weren't getting too excited.0 -
