Thats what I always do :D but I thought when you said that you were going to ring that you were saying that that info was unreliable lol.

I think that makes no sense whatsoever but I know what I mean :p

I know what you mean;):rotfl:Looks like they're all shutting at 7pm, so OH won't get the hump if I disappear early for a bit of whoopsieing:)

Its very difficult in a store without scanners, I ask someone on a till to price check for me, or if the store has one ask at the pharmacy :)
Sorry could have multiquoted but posted before I saw this.Pharmacy can scan, so can electricals and the mobile shop bit if you've got one of them.I've made "friends" with the electrical girls and they know if I'm asking for something to be scanned they'll usually get a tip off that somethings cheap;)

Shame my teeny tiny store has no pharmacy, no clothing, no electrical and so rare to see a MoS on the shopfloor let alone one with a scanner, on the plus side the OEP went full term at that store :D
Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch :)
  • Was in a T's yesterday on the ss happily scanning 15 packs of the 1p crisps and 3 of the candle lighters, had a couple more 1p things but was putting some normal shopping through when a security guard came up and started looking in my bags. When I asked him why,he said that he had been asked to check my shopping as I had that much reduced stuff it had flagged an alert up  He asked me where I had got the crisps, I said the crisp aisle by the reduced stuff (true) he was really nice and said thats ok, if that what the till says then asked me where abouts the lighters were as he wanted a couple :rotfl:

Do the ss tills flag up the 1p things when you put a lot through together? SA manning the ss tills wasnt watching his screens, he was busy chatting with his mate.

Never ever heard that before, It seems a bit strange. I've had 50 1p things through in one transaction before and never had a problem. What I do tend to do now though is just put say 10 through and pay, then do the next ones. My logic on that is once you've paid they can't take them off you and I'd rather get 1/2 my stuff through and paid for than lose the whole lot if they see me;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

I wish T would roll out the hand held self scanners I saw in one shop I popped into whilst on holidays (Bognor Regis way) I only popped in for a wee and a bottle of water but had to stop and stare open mouthed at the wall of scanners
