    I'm sure I remember being told that was a no no, don't know why though, that and castor oil were big :naughty::naughty: according to my midwife!

    yeah i heard that about castor oil - thats one thing i wont be trying....

  • ok guys - im getting rather fed up now..... NEED ADVICE...

    Anyone ot any tried - and tested methods of inducing labour??

    ive tried all the usual stuff..... so open to ANY suggestions....


    ** currently sat bouncing on the kids space hopper - drinking raspberry tea **

    i really feel for you ! all 3 of my kids were overdue and i had to be induced with them ! i tried all sorts but nothing worked

    When I was in hospital having my son, my contractions suddenly stopped. I was told by the midwife to have a bath to get them going again.....and it definitely worked for me!
    My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • I've just been googling how to induce labour and found this on the end of one of the websites:

    Blowing up balloons: the theory is that the build up of abdominal pressure encourages labour to start.


    Bouncing on your birth ball or driving your car down a bumpy road would seem to put the same faith in shaking things up a little.


    Get a weepy video and have a good cry.


    Wear your best knickers (sod's law will ensure that your waters break in them).
