Thanks Gemini Jes. I hope you are having a lovely time. xxxx0 -
Thanks for all your kind wishes. Something has happened so my husband is out until 5pm but we'll have a nice evening together. We had Christmas dinner yesterday because we knew in advance. I've had lots of offers from family and friends to spend the day with them but I chose not to. To be honest, I wish I had taken one of them up on their offer. I thought I would be fine with a book and some chocolate but I'm not. When my husband comes home, we'll go and visit the grandchildren and then I'll be happy again! x
I normally keep up to date with this thread, but the past couple of days even though there's not been much on here, I've not really kept up so sorry I'm not up to date with your story, but I hope everything works out well and you are back in your comfort zone soon.0 -
Hello everyone
happy christmas x
been mega busy & tired ....swollen up feet today so meerkatsdad is finishing off dinner.
Im absolutely disgusted with tesco in north lincolnshire. Visited 3 stores and the perishables didnt whoopsie below 50% off and they were cleared from the shelves 60-90 mins before closing and taken out back to be destroyed :-O
Asda was the same...its terrible to think how much food was destroyed such as fresh cream, trifles, bread, meat when there were clearly people who needed/wanted to buy it. will be in tomorrow to see if the fresh turkeys dated 26/12 are still for sale at 13 quid...miserable sods
Dd had a fab day so far...just wish she would learn to use her asthma inhaler properly as its heartbreaking every time we have to struggle with her when she has a coughing fitBaby meerkat...born 9.10am 31/1/12 - now a fully fledged monster meerkat.

Just popping in to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, and if the day isn't quite as planned then big hugs (and remember, it is just another day in the year so do something special when you can xx)
Our dinner is in (we eat late too) and presents waiting to be opened (as a kid we always did stockings from santa in the morning and tree presents after dinner so I keep with that tradition - much to OH annoyance) house is spik and span and went up to the cemetary this morning to lay flowers for my dad. Now enjoying a well earned beer. Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the year, I know I only joined you guys in Aug and you've already helped me save so much, hoping I can contribute a few glitches of my own next year xx :A

Merry Christmas all!!
Hope everyone's having a good day? I'm just cooking my xmas dinner, only just got around to doing my potatoes (through laziness), got a thick wedge of ham for meat and a whoopsied 25p veg bag to stick in the microwave, happy as Larry! Roast potatoes look delish, I can't wait to dig in now!
Sorry if I've missed a load of posts, still stuck back on whatever page posts 1508/9/10 etc are on! Will read back later, now off to check on the roasties and see which Carry On film is on next, happy hols all!west_is_best wrote: »Ive just popped online to thank everyone for their contribution to making my Brother a happy man for what is usually a sad time for him..
His wife left him 3 years ago and by now he hardly has 2p's to rub together, so Ive made it my mission to collect cheapies and freebies from Tesco to help him over the Christmas period..
I gave him a huge box full of stuff from Tesco eg Pyrex dish, green tea, sox, t-shirts, tray etc etc etc... plus 12 bottles of glitched wine (he told me he had bought himself a miniture bottle of red because he couldnt afford a big bottle to go with his his dinner, as he has his children with him this year)...
Obvioulsy I got him some extra stuff like a Phillips CD/ radio also during the Electrical glitch and a few bits and bobs...
I have never seen him cry in appreciation in all our lives.. and its all down to you lot...
Thank you all and I hope you all have a very merry Christmas xxxxxxxxxhugsxxxxxxx
Aww that's lovely, it's so nice when glitching helps those who really need the savings just to get by, and even nicer when you can spoil someone! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Christmas! Hope you're all having an enjoyable day.
I know I only found you guys a few weeks ago, but would like to say a big thanks for the few bits I have found so far :T and definitely the OEP :T:):T
Always been a bit of a bargain hunter and had to laugh when DS moaned at me yesterday about always having lots of reduced/special offer items, so I took him to the Christmas tree and politely stated that the hoards of presents under there were due to me being careful in other areas. Of course I didn't do as well you 'old hands' but I did buy most of their presents with discount codes and via tcb.... but who knows, if I stick with you lot, what little I will have to spend next year!!So big thanks again

I don't think it would have been destroyed. It would have been reduced further and the staff would have had it.0 -
