    Is that all??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Yeah, no brussel sprouts or green beans and mum only did one meat this year, normally there is beef or gammon on the go too but mum decided against it this year as the turkey was bigger than normal and there was no room in the oven. :(

    On my own today so I'm not cooking and just had beans on toast. Strangest Christmas Day ever.

    Hotels4u FB page now states
    Congratulations if you're one of the thousands of bookers who have benefitted from our amazing Xmas offer. We have now reached the limit of bookings we're able to take with this offer. Sincere apologies if you have missed out but watch this space for more amazing deals in the New Year.

    Lots of v unhappy people on there - wait for it to appear on Watchdog etc. However, it did say it had stopped before then restarted, so you might just get lucky. (Sorry, can't change font back!)
    Hope is not a strategy.

    I'm not on my own but we haven't been able to celebrate Christmas for a number of years so I always feel very depressed at this time of year and always think....this is the last year, next year will be different. Hmmm 6 years it's been now, so I sympathise. I think Christmas is a very difficult time for many so anyone who's having a far less than perfect time, or anyone that's lonely and blue, sending hugs your way and let's all keep our fingers crossed for a happier and prosperous new year! :A

    Good luck Fudge_Cake, our last few Xmases have been subdued due to a number of family bereavements, but this year feels better, and things always change over time, no matter how hard things may get. Looking forward to a bargain-packed new year!

    Thanks for all your kind wishes. Something has happened so my husband is out until 5pm but we'll have a nice evening together. We had Christmas dinner yesterday because we knew in advance. I've had lots of offers from family and friends to spend the day with them but I chose not to. To be honest, I wish I had taken one of them up on their offer. I thought I would be fine with a book and some chocolate but I'm not. When my husband comes home, we'll go and visit the grandchildren and then I'll be happy again! x
  • Merry crimbo everyone xxxxx No word on Sunshine yet?
