Thinking about this again, do I remember rightly that you used poison to get the mouse? If so, that is the problem as they go somewhere to die, and then rot  Traps are much better ;)

Nope, all I did was use a plug-in thingymabob. I could hear the mouse up in the ceiling above the living room and kitchen and the only access for poison is through the light fitting which is hanging down from the ceiling due to the leak that is still not fixed. I'd take a pic but it's embarrassing :o Plus with kids, I wouldn't be happy with poison.

Maybe the mouse died of embarrassment at seeing the state of the place?

Do those plug ins work for you? We tried them when we had a problem but they didn't seem to make any difference.

We use the plug-in thingeys and we still have mice coming in about 2 or 3 times a year - but we do have fields on 2 sides and a cemetery on the third side, so we're bound to get some coming in, especially harvest time

It's been too long since uni but I don't think that's possible. The length of the longer side has to be greater than the sum of the length of the smaller 2 sides.

    Arghhh how to explain this.

to make a triangle there needs to be 3 angles between the lines. 15 + 12 = 27 so there's not enough extra length to create angles to raise them into a triangle so you end up with a straight line.

Me thinks you have to use Pythagoras to work that one out and not he usual half base x height :( Math is is not my strong point.

    Edit: scrub that I haven't a clue and I don' t care.

Well I didn't fail my Maths O'Level for nothing showing my age again and I think you had the answer - being half the area of the rectangle

    Bang on :T
The area is zero: The sum of any 2 sides of a triangle must be greater than the third.
