I think we do have damp z in the upstairs bathroom ( above the bath) its the outside wall so I think the heat from the bath mixed with the outside wall causes the dampness ( although I could easily be wrong)

We don't have high ceilings except for the living room as that is one of those slanted ceilings ( higher above the living room window, lower at the back of the room)

We had looked at the board idea ( and that is what we want to do eventually) we discounted the one with the silver backing though as it only stopped so much heat escaping ( I can't remember exact figures it was a good while ago we looked) it will reduce the size of the room and were ok with that as the rooms we will be putting it in are the downstairs and we don't really use those rooms much, I think I'd we can get that sorted the upstairs will heat up as well
The bath produces moisture which will condense on a cold surface like a single leaf room with no insulation. Clashing each room with internal insulation helps and will really improve your comfort but as you say is not cheap. in England we can get a long term loan to help under something called Green Deal. Not sure what has been set up north of the border.

Thanks Z and Butti, much appreciated I understand it ever so slightly better, will look into these boards again, even if I can get a few boards a year it should help over time

And yes Z I think your bang in the mark with the dampness issue, I think when the neighbour cut the tree down and it landed on the house I think that's the area it hit

Its in such and awkward place to get to as well :(

so we went shopping again at the weekend, it seems that when mr el is shopping with me we tend to buy more treats, the shopping came to £45.67 with the £5 off we paid £40.67 which is not too bad at all really

we still have to get the diesel for the week ( tomorrow) but we seem to be saving some money which i am hoping to put towards the 5 week month ahead rather than pay to the debt in order to be totally skint

i have my workout today, was at my work out on friday and felt dizzy again, this time it was worse than normal though as the dizziness went away then came back, so i am going to have to keep an eye on that i think

debt wise, nothing happening just now, i'm at the time of month where i am waiting for the bills to come in with their new totals and getting ready to pay them off again

did get a letter from my employer telling us we are getting a small bonus in our december wage, after tax etc i should get roughly £50 which will no doubt dissappear faster than it appeared but will have a wee think about where i want it to dissappear to :)

went to asda today to get the last of the £5 vouchers only to discover it has been extended till this weekend, which is good news so i will go shopping this weekend and get another £5 off

also got a further £1.18 off which was a bit of a surprise as i didnt expect anything

picked up a book at the library, i can remember not so long ago when i wouldnt go to the library and would spend a fortune on books, i spose for me its going to be a long haul in the learning part of debt freedom but i am slowly getting there

Mr el likes to go shopping though skinty, he just likes spending time with me and doesn't seem to get fed up when I say I need to run to the shops, instead he's like " ohhh good time out together"

Now I'm notorious for getting what was on the list, and nothing else. Bring them up to hate shopping... ;)
