You're right, its an absolute con! I checked their FAQ's to see if it stated which courier they used for express delivery....the lack of information is shocking.0 -
My packages still haven't arrived. I will be emailing them to complain when my items finally arrive.
I certainly won't be using Play again for anything I need urgently!"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Same thing here, paid £4.99 for express delivery to come yesterday and still no parcel. If it comes by royal mail that's outrageous. Do people know if it's more effective to complain by post or phone?Future hopes, dreams & emergencies fund: £4,000
No. Internet. Shopping.0 -
I had exactly the same problem, my parcels arrive 2 days later then they should have.
And yes it came via Royal Mail !!
I wont be using express delivery again, I complained and are getting my postal costs refunded though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
what do you mean by delivery pattern?
I was referring to what days will there be a postal service on during the Xmas break, when will sorting offices be open etc. Can't find that info online.
Turns out the the rest of my parcels arrived this morning. Only took five days. My housemate texted me only after I went home from Uni for Xmas, so I'll be doing a 200-mile round trip to get them. Grr.
I have written a complaint to OFT as I don't believe they are sending these items out on any sort of 24-hour service. I'll let them see what's what.0 -
Most products are sent from Jersey regardless and so end up being sent via normal post. This usually takes 3 days and it seems they use the same service for many of their express deliveries too! I once had an order worth £300 from them delivered via normal post, no recorded, special or anything; talk about taking a risk on insurance cover!!!
Don't use them much myself because of the slow post here, but did order recently because they had advertised a product £20 less than it should have been but paid and took delivery before they noticed and changed it; 1-nil to me0 -

however if they are doing that and taking extra money for express then its a different matter0 -

Absolutely agree with you; I was thinking more of a retailer myself and how it is commercial suicide to risk customer complaints and claims for "missing items" based on no tracking of high value goods.0 -
Well, finally got through to them......they had no idea where my order was, claimed the they deliver via Royal mail! I don't fancy my chances of getting it for Xmas now  THey refunded the delivery charge and after kicking up a fuss I got a five pound voucher for wasting my time :j will stick to free delivery next time :rotfl:
Thanks for letting us know. As I said before I have never used their express delivery but all my parcels have come via royal mail. I thought they would use a different courier for the express deliveries0
