Samsung Galaxy Note BEST DEALS thread...

Check out Tesco phones, they have the S2 for free on 2 year contract with T Mobile for £21/mth0

topcashback are currently offering £111 cashback for 18/24 month O2 contracts.
I was going to use this to buy a Note on 24month contract at £16.50 pm plus £199 for the phone. Unfortunately there's some credit issue which doubt I'll get sorted in 3 days, which is when the cashback offer ends!
Oh well, I'll keep looking....0 -
I really fancy unlimited internet more than anything. Is T-Mobile's Full Monty deal for £36x24 with a free Note through buymobilephones.net as decent as I'm going to get?
It's a bit annoying that T-Mobile doesn't seem to carry it on their own site where they're offering £150 Quidco cashback.0 -
I think what's been holding me back, or at least partly, is the fact that it seems nigh on impossible to get a reasonable deal on any 18 month contract at the moment.
I am so reluctant to have to wait for another two years before I can upgrade... even the Galaxy S2 is silly money over 18 months! And, the Nexus prices seem to be as much as the Note's?
I guess I'll have to just accept the fact that 2 year deals are the only realistic option open to me.
Incidentally, the S3 is rumoured to be out in June/July.

Seems that the best prices on 24 months are £27 or £28.50 with a better allowance. Seems that there is one 12m available (voda via phones4u) with a relatively small upfront of £99 @ £36 p/m (effectively £44 per month).
Anyone found anything better (personally a few pence or a £ cheaper via redemption is false economy)?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Hi...
So tomorrow I'm going to phone around some independent retailers and see if they can get me a Note upgrade on my current Voda contract at £27 for 24 months. Unsure if this will succeed, but worth a go.
I'll let you know how I get on.
If this doesn't work out I'll probably get the new HTC One X when it comes out next month instead, if it's fairly priced that is.

Hi...
Well, I tried Phones4u, buymobilephones.net, Dial-a-Phone, & intomobilephones.co.uk, and the best offer they came up with was;
FREE Galaxy Note
£31 a month x 24
600 mins
unlimited texts
1GB 3G
2GB Wifi
...the above deal is the same I was offered directly by Vodafone this morning - see this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/560336 .
So, PAC was requested this morning. I am quietly confident I'll get the above, but for £26 x 24 from Outbound Retentions.
I'll keep you posted.

Hi...
I got a call from Vodafone Outbound Retentions this morning.
Ended up being offered, and accepting, the following;
FREE Samsung Galaxy Note
300 mins
Unlimited texts
750mb 3G
2gb WiFi
...all for £26 (reduced from £34) a month x 24 months.
I am oh so very pleased
The handsets are currently out of stock, so I'm going to have to wait for a week or 2, which while not ideal, I can live with.
The only thing that made me slightly nervous is that the deal, for 'pre ordering purposes' is listed at £56 a month on my account per handset, but the guy I spoke with assured me this was a ruse purely for pre ordering. The actual cost to me will be £26 a month per handset (I have 2 handsets on the same contract), for 24 months. He reminded me that all calls are recorded, and in the unlikely event of a dispute, it would be quickly rectified.
So, now all I have to do is wait until my new toy is delivered.
I'll keep you posted.

Well done, that seems like a good deal. I am with Virgin and they don't currently do the Note and are not likely to according to one of their salesmen in the Virgin Media shop. The problem then is that I will have no leverage on a retentions deal at all with anyone else. Think I'm going to have to give up on the Note and go back to looking at the Galaxy S2 again. Thanks for the update.0
