ie 60 inches of useable curtain with the pleats still in them?
Sorry if I'm not making any sense, I've never bought curtains like this before. hopefully someone will know what I mean.
Made to measure curtains are usually double fulness. so if it says 60" wide I think it means that they would fit a rail 60" wide at double fulness. This also means that ea curtain would be 60" wide when flat and that you gather it up to suit your window.
If your window is narrower than 60" then you will have a 'fuller' look as you'd gather them up tighter. If your rail is wider than 60" then you wouldn't need to gather them as much to cover the rail width and they would appear less full. HTH0 -
Thanks OP, just in time for me because am in need of curtains and was thinking of heading to Wilko on Friday, you saved me that trip. I reserved the purple to be collected tomorrow!:TYou are 48% tight

We're in a rented flat where the landlords left blinds in place, but took the curtains in the bedroom. I've never had to hang this type of curtain before living here, and what should be simple isn't making sense to me.
If I have this kind of hook in the glider track, what hook do I slide through it to put the curtain on? This is the kind of hook I see most often, but once I slide that onto the glider hook, I can't see a way to get the string in the pleat curtains onto it. Help?!
As an aside: These curtains are lovely! Nice and thick. And despite what it says on the website, the package does say "dry clean only." Not that I'm bothered, just an fyi for those wondering.0 -
I have picked my curtains up and I love the colour they are - proper purple not aubergine, plum etc..
I used a giftcard so ended up only paying just under £7 for them.
I am very pleased with them, my only quibble (if I had been paying full price) is the quality of the lining, which I think is a bit cheap for curtains which originally were priced at £60.0 -
Just picked up Black pair 66 x 72, lovely quality curtains at a great price...cant wait to redecorate the room now...:j :j :j :T :T0

Thanks. Picked up 2 pairs this morning. To be quite honest the quality isn't too bad at all. I've had worse in curtains that have cost a lot more money.
These actually appear to be the length that was stated on the packaging. I have had to take curtains back to BHS before now because the length I needed was 54" and it was a critical measurement. The curtains they sold were shorter than that although the packet said 54". Their explanation was that there is a certain amount of wriggle room allowed so the measurements on the packing were a guide only and may not be the actual length!! Very helpful.
I agree that the curtain lining is not great but for £12 how can you complain. Well spotted op.0 -
Just reserved a 2nd pair...thanks op..:j :j :j :T :T0

Anyone? How are you all hanging the curtains?0 -

One important tip, when you pull the string's to gather the curtain (and make the pleats) make sure you have knotted the string's in the header tape so that when you pull the string's through they don't come right out leaving you to re thread the bloomin tape.:o done it more than once.Booo!!!0 -
I am not very good at describing things & I'm not used to that kind of glider type track, but I'll try. Take the curtain hook 1st & thread them through the string in the curtain header tape then once you have put the hook's on the curtain thread them through the hole on the glider on the curtain rail.

Thanks. I can't see how to get it to work if I thread it in the curtain first, will have to look again. What I'd like is a hook with a separate hook for the top (for the glider) and one for the bottom, for the curtain. Haven't seen any online, may go have a look around.0
