Yeah, nevermind the poor staff stood round for 9 hours - the customer in for 10 minutes clearly matters more. Despite the fact the customer could just take their coat off

My store keeps the temp at 20 degrees for the animals - I suppose we should let them shiver.

The staff should be moving about working and dressed appropriately. If I have to remove my coat what am I supposed to do with it? It can be hard to carry it and all my shopping so it would again limit what I buy.

Many shops are hotter than 20C and have no animals.

Till staff can't really move about in order to keep warm. And if the temperature is appropriate for people with thermal vests, several layers, and chunky jumpers and bulky coats then the staff would need the same, along with gloves, hat and scarf. Not only would this look absolutely ridiculous, it would also be impossible for staff to work

That is being ridiculous and not what I said or intended at all. It certainly at the moment isn't necessary to wear that many layers in the home or when out and about. ;)

I feel sorry for the staff at Asda, it's always really cold in there now.
Have they turned the heating off altogether to save money?

  • I have the opposite problem.

It's a nice spring day-and I'm wearing a t shirt. maybe the outside temp is a sunny 65-not roasting but pleasant.

Then you go into home bargains-and the air con is blaring out and its freezing.

What a waste of energy. You wouldn't put aircon on in your home if the outside air temp was only that-so why don't stores conserve a bit more.

I just have to leave-just too unpleasant-because yes-I have left my cardi in the car.
