Hello its been a busy few days here so havent been able to update (plus not to much been going on DFW wise) It has been DDs Bday!! I cant believe she is 5 already!!! She has her bday party tomorrow which is going to cost a small fortune lol well not to much but you know!! Have already paid deposit and some people have dropped out so it shouldnt be as much as I thought it would have been
Have been playing around with the budget making sure its as good as it gets lol and just wanting to make sure we save as much as possible away each mth for emergencies!
The fence in the garden didnt like the winds and all fell down!! DH managed to fix it all but not sure how long its going to last!! DH also says he think the car sounds like the exsorts (I know thats not how you spell it but can not think how to spell it!!) is going!! Its due its MOT soon aswell so guessing its going to cost us loadsThink its due end of Jan begining of Feb so need to check and see when (fingers crossed for feb as then will have more money towards it and also no council tax mth so if it costs more then we have can use that towards it)

Hi, I think you're doing really well. It's difficult to save money when you have little ones, but it is probably easier than when they get older and start asking for more and more! I also just admire you bringing up 5 under 8!! I have 4 but there is 10 years between oldest and youngest!!! Youngest is now 4 and it s good to have some independence!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120

Arr thank you. I love having the kids close! The 3 youngest are now playing and interactive together so nicely I just love how close they are. Yes im sure as they get older they are going to want more and more expensive things!! Ive introduced pocket money to the older 2 (althought no1 has been taken away for a while to see if it helps her behavior!!!) and hope that we can teach them young that you have to work and save for the things that you want! DD1 is great at saving hers and really thinks about things that she wants and if she really wants them - DD2 would just spend it all right away within 5mins lol So will see if it helps them??
Thanks for popping in againx

Hello Mummy lovely to hear from you.
Hope DD enjoys her little party. My DD's is next week and im praying a couple drop out :rotfl:!!
Hows the fence holding up? A while back I gave my DD's a little bit of money after tidying up etc and they liked saving it in their money boxes. Might start that up again soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
I give my girls pocket money every week. The 10 yr old has a pound a week in her bank account, then if she's good she gets a a pound on a Saturday - she loves having a bit in her purse and always shares it!! (Probably end up like me - without any ;-) )Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120

We have been talking about pocket money in our house, more to see if it makes ds1 behave a little better. They both get £10 a month into a savings account so we were thinking of a £1 a week, 5p will be deducted for bad behaviour. Ds1 is usually torn between saving and spending bless him.
We have had teh winds up here too, i have lost 1 fence panal so far............December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Hello all. Thanks for your comments. I think the pocket money does help to let them learn that there is not a unlimited amount of money and you have to save for things if you really want them!!
Fence is doing ok again (so far) but i think next time the winds pick up it will go as its a little wonky
DD2 loved her party and it wasnt as much as I thought so thats always goodShe got more presents and was very lucky! She has 3 partys this week though so need to find some bargain presents for them.
DD1 had to have some blood tests this morning and she was sooo worried bless her but so brave so I did treat her to some of the little collector cards she likes to collect for being so goodI had some too but didnt get any treat for being brave
I have set up online banking for the new bank account but tried to transfer some money over but my bank sends a text which you have to put the code in and my phone has died AGAIN so couldnt do it!! I brought a new charger not that long ago and its already broken!! Havent got the receipt but might try and take it back anyway and see what they say? Otheriwse im going to have to buy a new one again!!
Need to do meal plan and online MrT shop for tomorrow later....GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0
