Tell me chaps. Does there come a point when you'rer scratching around far any kind of fallback position, no matter how desperate, that you
receive that flash of clarity, that rare moment of self awareness, when you realise just what its come to?
I do hope not.
Geneer, you bought a house. You didn't tell anyone about it for a couple of years. This may have been a uniquely life-affirming moment for you but I suspect I will never feel the awe at your cleverness that you anticipated.0 -
Excellent. I had forgotten how to play the game.
Welcome back Exocet. Have missed your humour around this place. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The reality is that you can continue to mock his lies but don't have to read his drivel. A perfect situation, especially when he starts to employ his famous multi-quote bore-fest posts. :rotfl:
Quite why geneer, the inventor of the Alcubierre drive, is wasting his time on an obscure housing and economy forum is quite beyond me, he should be promoting his new discovery and winning a Nobel prize for Physics. Hang on, with the Alcubierre drive, he has all the time in the world! Silly me.
Ah well. Apparently RM prefers the idea that I really did travel back in time and plant heavy handed hints as to my home owner status.
Does no one else find this somewhat....bonkers?0 -
I wouldn't bother - I recommend having a bit of an entertaining read and use the time saved by not getting involved to do something far more constructive!
Ditto. Its only worth getting into if you're invested.
What can I say. Theres a number of MSE members who appear to be very very invested indeed.0 -

It really is that simple Rob. Whilst there was a lot of wailing and thrashing, most of the comparatively lucid individuals grudgingly came to the conclusion that I did what I said I did.
Poor old RM can't appear to accept the heavy handed hints scattered in historical posts.
Maybe you can help him accept the truth before he does himself an injury. This may have been a uniquely life-affirming moment for you but I suspect I will never feel the awe at your cleverness that you anticipated.
Awe isn't what I was going for.
A bit of a laugh is what I wanted, and thats what I got.
I mean, its a simple fact that the key individuals did, as expected, bang on and on and on in the same manner as they had done for years previously. The only difference being that this time, when I told them their efforts were quite irrelevant, they knew, in their heart of hearts that I was quite correct. :rotfl:
Of course that fact that it effectively negates the snide little jibes and asides directed my way by a handful of posters, including lets not forget, your good self, is an added bonus.
So no, under the circumstances I wasn't expecting awe.
I expect what I got, a wall of seething frustration. :T0 -
Sorry, not been around for a while.
Can anyone fill me in on which particular @sshole I should be supporting?
Ta.
Welcome back.
The current crop of bear cubs appear to be missing the humour gene.
Macaque makes an occasional appearance, as funny and defiant as ever, Graham appears to have bowed to the inevitable and is now not expecting significant falls, but other than that it's pretty much just some sad, bitter and angry teenagers being shouty a lot.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Hi Hamish. I ran away several months ago because I said they would drop by 1.31% and they only dropped by 1.28%. The shock of it! They may even have gone up again by now.
Truth is, that eventually it's mainly been said I suppose, whichever side of the bed you lie on.
Anyway, you old Scots person you. Happy whatever you guys celebrate up there. Is it Burns or something? Terrible song that Auld Lang Syne thing.0 -

Terrible state of affairs.
It's become a tad boring bickering over a few tenths of a percent in house price change.Truth is, that eventually it's mainly been said I suppose, whichever side of the bed you lie on.
Very true.
I've had to find other fora to argue about other things on, now that the crash is well and truly over and we've been bumping along the bottom for the last few years.Anyway, you old Scots person you. Happy whatever you guys celebrate up there. Is it Burns or something? Terrible song that Auld Lang Syne thing.
Intergenerational theft through HPI, mostly. Oh, and rising rents. Boomers exploiting the young is usually worth raising a glass to as well.
And when all that fails, we just eat some babies.:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
