My woman then comes in with a blow. SHE IS LEAVING THIS FRIDAY!! I was WTH? Where are you going? She is retiring but seriously she is not in her 60’s so maybe had enough and just going. She said she hasn’t given them much notice and she is GUESSING they are going to replace her and this meeting (mine at 9am) was just to tidy things up and tell me that she was no longer going to be there. What was the point really to go 7 miles there and 7 miles back to be told she’s leaving?!
The providers apparently only get a £400 payment when people are first referred to WP, after that they only get further payments on an outcome.
The provider could be seeing increasing numbers of people for 2 years with no more money.
There is no money for anything, that's why they are cutting back on appointments, as the business model is flawed.0 -
Are you sure she is leaving or is provider cutting back & making redundancies ?

They are not cutting back on appointments at all, mine have been once every 4 weeks.
They are not likely to get any money on me as there will be no outcome0 -
Hi
Can anyone confirm to me that a "Work Trial" under the work program is voluntary and not mandatory.
I was offered a job but it was a "Work Trial basis"
I’m looking for work and I don't mind working if I’m being paid a wage of national minimum and upwards, but I’m not going to work on a trial to supply a company with free labour, only for them to let me go, once they have disposed of me.
I found the following information "Below" but would like to be 100% sure before putting my case across.
Work Trials
Work trials can be used by employers and claimants as a ‘trial period’ before a job offer is taken up. They can last up to six weeks but are typically around two weeks in length. Work trials are voluntary, and those who take part continue to receive benefits and are paid expenses, for example for travel.
Many thanks0 -

they are most definitely cutting back on appointments here, now it's visit the office for an hour every 6 weeks with a phone call in the middle. The advisor actually told us it's because they are getting so many referrals now they physically can't fit everyone in.0

I wish I only had to go every 6 weeks! Every week for me now, they keep changing it seemingly at random. It's pointless, I feel I am wasting my time going there.0

ive changed benefits which start on the 26, but im going to sign off on Friday do i have to still go to my work programme appointment0

An hour every six weeks is a lot more than 10-25 mins every 4 weeks. I can't even phone in two weeks as I have no idea who my next adviser will be. Can not believe she is leaving and I have only seen her once but it says it all really about them.0
