  • Our vegetables to accompany the turkey and beef will consist:

    - Home grown cheesy leeks (made by my cousin)
    - Home grown brussel sprouts
    - Home grown broccoli and cauliflower
    - Roast parsnips
    - Roast potatoes
    - Braised red cabbage

For Christmas eve, I am serving bubble and squeak cakes (made of potatoes, leeks and cabbage) with game stew. Both of which I will make in advance. I will leave the stew in the slow cooker and reheat the veg cakes in the oven.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

We are cooking roosters this year as we have been so pleased with them. If we can't get roosters we get King Edwards. I have been really happy with heritage potatoes - our favs are red duke of york which make lovely roasties.

    We're having:

    Roast Pots
Potato Dauphinoise (new for Christmas this year)
    Carrot medallions
    Sprouts

Maybe some Roast Red Onions with balsamic vinegar if I can be bothered.
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)
  • Roast potatoes
    Mashed potatoes
    Carrot batons
    Broccoli
    Cauliflower
    Sprouts
    Roast Parsnips
    Peas

Gosh, it's a wonder our poor table still stands once everything is on it!
