Essex Trading Standards lists 08454 040506 as their contact number. Saynoto0870 does not list an 01245 area code.

Prices don't look that great for what you get. I think Cyberpower offers better value. (I'm thinking of getting a new computer from them. Haven't ordered it yet though).0

To be honest I was just being lazy. I can easily build one from the parts (its really not that hard) but I thought I'd treat myself to a pre bult one save me the hassle. After this fiasco I think i'll be ordering my new pc in parts now0

It does have its own benefits though if you buy a pre-built computer. Firstly, if a fault developes you would need to identify which part then deal with the repair/replacement, i'm also told it's easy to damage chips or something when putting together -- atleast if this happens on a pre-built machine it's not your problem.
Although i've never built a computer, so how true this is I don't know.0 -
I think one of the main advantages was the warranty. But as far as I know pretty much all computer parts you buy new have their own manufacturers warranty so not that big a deal.
Yeah supposedly its quite easy to mess up a circuit board with static from your body but I've never had this happen. You can just wear one of those grounding wristbands to avoid this.0 -
This is the same company that ran a competition on Facebook giving a computer away on every '100 likes'.
Anyway, here's the thread about how that went. Clicky.
There were 3 or 4 winners who were dubious. One had the same name as someone working for him and another had the same surname, out of the first few winners. Here's a couple of screen shots.
So, I wouldn't put it past this company to know they are pulling a fast one. I would have loved to have seen the company being investigated over the competition but didn't know who to go to, and doubted much could be done.
I wouldn't trust this company as far as I could throw one of their dodgy computers. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Unfortunately as I said in a previous post I only stumbled across that thread today but couldn't link it as I'm new on the forums. If I had found that before ordering I definitely would have gone elsewhere. The part that really makes me suspicious is the owner also owning a "independent" review site that gives all ukgamingcomputers machines top marks.0

Hopefully a few people might spot this thread with it being in 'Consumer Rights' and not go ahead with an order. The guy probably made up Emma from Trading Standards. He does like to make things up and embellish his stories. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson.
