You have made a rod for your own back by cancelling the payment.

You owe the extra month as you needed to give 30 days' notice and didn't in the 11th month.

Regrettably, your post doesn't encourage me to help you as you obviously think that you are right and the companies you are dealing with are "scumbags".

Now got threats of court action from Frederickson. I've ignored them. I've only rang them once, to give them a load of verbal abuse.

You sound like a real charmer and I hope they do take you to court.

If you can't help don't post.

It's not a debt, it's an unpaid invoice. Debt is when you borrow money and don't pay it back.
Absolutely incorrect statement, especially from a person studying contract law.

    • Something, typically money, that is owed or due.
    • The state of owing money.
'due' and 'owed' are not synonyms of 'borrowed'.
And in fact you did borrow money to get your iPhone for a smaller price than it actually cost. The repayments of this loan were included in your monthly contract price.
  • Rave on OP, you're still in the wrong and owe them the money. You won't find many people on here agreeing with you on this one. A faulty phone doesn't mean you don't have to pay them for the airtime agreement.
