Now got threats of court action from Frederickson. I've ignored them. I've only rang them once, to give them a load of verbal abuse.

'due' and 'owed' are not synonyms of 'borrowed'.
And in fact you did borrow money to get your iPhone for a smaller price than it actually cost. The repayments of this loan were included in your monthly contract price.

Rave on OP, you're still in the wrong and owe them the money. You won't find many people on here agreeing with you on this one. A faulty phone doesn't mean you don't have to pay them for the airtime agreement.
