You may be able to slice £30 off the cost by signing up as a legitimate new credit account customer @ Very.co.uk using one of the codes on MSE. (I think their own 10% new customer doesn't apply to computers etc.)
Also they have buy now pay later deals. (be aware that interest accumulates during the B.N.P.L period + bumps up your bill if you don't pay the full amount a year later!!!)

For those cash back followers that might be another avenue to lighten the overall cost. (Quidco etc.)

Downside they use Yodel Couriers so the wind needs to be in the right direction for it to go to plan!! (don't know if you can use their free collect service on new orders)

In Comet today they had 10% off two of the iPad 2 models, both in white only. I got the 32GB with 3G for £449, reduced from £499. They're being discontinued, apparently. I think it's in store only, I went to the Lincoln branch.

Just spotted Zavvi are selling the iPad 2 16GB for £299.99. It might just be on offer for the bank holiday. I can't post the urls so just search zavvi for ipad 2.

Apple have the 16GB + 3G refurbished models for £319 at the moment

I have bought 2 ipad 3's from gadgetdog.co.uk for £299 each saving £100 , one took 3 weeks for delivery but the last one I bought took a week, the guy txt me every week with update and sent them by Royal Mail special delivery with tracking number.
He has other models on site with even better savings but money is tight, I first heard of site on a forum I vist regularly

Given that Chinese made (and designed) "aPads" - Android tablets - are improving in quality to an amazing degree... and you can pick up an aPad with a VERY high specification for under £100 (and one with a "more than acceptable" spec' for under £50, if you import it direct yourself from the manufacturer) talk of "where can I get the cheapest model of a massively overpriced for what it is" tablet seems... kind of inappropriate on a MONEY SAVING website. Want to save money? Easy! Don't buy things from Apple! My OWN hot tip would be the Ainol Novo7 Flame - imported from China one of the better-known retailers (like Merimobiles, or Ainolstore.com) Costs around £100, does pretty much the same job as an iPad, has a very similar spec', and (in my view!) the (16:9) 7" screen is a more sensible size (It fits into a man's jacket pocket - no need to lug it around as if it was a laptop!)
