complaint about a stone mason

I think OP, you and your brother need to show some respect for your parents and stop this silly bickering.
If there is nothing incorrect on the headstone then what on earth is your problem?
I had my Grandmothers headstone removed and altered to include she was 'widow' of ******* who died in WW1 . He was buried abroad and she then married my grandfather who is also buried in the same grave.
The family of her first husband were more than happy for me to do this as they now have some reminder of their G grandad.
The stone mason actually put the stone back on the WRONG grave at the other end of the cemetery
The Vicar was not a happy bunny , but it eventually was placed where it should have been and I think Gran would have laughed her socks off to see my face on my first visit to the cemetery . Also very MSE......... I was not charged by the stone mason as he was VERY embarrassed

From the rather garbled explanation - I think the stone masons point is valid.
His WORK is being commissioned by the brother and paid for by the estate for which he had permission.
In the eyes of the stonemason this issue is between you and your brother as the works have been signed off.
As such the issue falls to your brother placing the stone on your ‘property’ without permission and that squabble is none of his business.
The stonemason is just caught in the middle.
(However the issue is very distasteful)Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -
i just didnt like the fct i didnt get to choose what was written on my grave on my headstone
It isn't actually YOUR headstone though is it? Unless you've had your dad, and your mum removed it's your FAMILY headstone.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
