I went to homebase after b&q, they had 50% off and nothing very exciting on the shelves. I got a reindeer for £15 at b&q but a smaller one at homebase was still £44, even after deduction.
Herman - MP for all! :)
  • Thanks for this, just been to B+Q in Worksop, and got a lovely black fibre optic tree for £6.25:)

the reservation system isn't working for these items, tried to reserve but couldn't so went down and the chap said because the stuff is going so fast that they have stopped reservations for it, but big thumbs up to them for dismantling their outdoor display in the rain so I could have the lights off it! :)

Ah, makes sense I suppose, if the stuff is going so quickly. Cheers fro the heads-up.

Been trying to checkout on and off since 6:30am this morning. I could have really done with some cheap lights but I give up. I will have a look in store tomorrow, doubt there will be anything left though! Cheers piglet25, least I know why now! Thanks OP mega bargains.

    was this connected??

i asked for the display reindeer but was told i wasnt allowed if it had been plugged in due to health and safety. all staff have display models ( if have been connected to mains) as they accept responsibility if their house burns down ( her words not mine!) gutted :-(

I got the kids a 4ft fibre optic tree each which they now have in their bedrooms for £6.25 and a decoration pack each which was £3.75! theyve chosen it all themselves lol , they are happy!
  • great post and perfect timing! got some lovely wreaths and potted trees, as well as some lights on display, as they were the last set! Dont forget to go outside, if you are after the real trees etc....there were loads left and no-one out there!
