I have wrapped all the work presents, and they are ready to go with the children when they go home friday :j
I can't put the toyboxes away in the summerhouse until Friday afternoon, after Little Miss Sunshine has gone. But after that they will be away until january
I am working tomorrow morning until 1pm. I need to put a casserole on (DD1 has requested it) as DD1 is coming home for Christmas :j I am not sure whether she will want to sleep in her room, as there is still a hole in the ceiling above her head
I think the dog could do with a really good run tomorrow as well, so DH & I will probably do that in the afternoon. I think he may actually be at home tomorrow night! The first time in about 3 weeks!!
Ok. There is nothing on the box, so I may take my lappy up to bed and catch up on some uni reading while watching the programme on C4 about the hoarder man. I need to see the end of the programme just to make sure they help him. It is horrific!! But it makes me feel good about this place :A I can get to my front door in seconds, not half an hour!!! O-M-G!!
ETA - they have cleared the garden, and the front door & then it finished! They can't leave it there - I will be worrying about the poor man now...0 -
Hello everyone
I went out last night...and got back to where I was staying (with job share) at - *cof* 4:30am!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a MIRACLE I have done anything today - but I have.
And I have had (as has she) a gift voucher for a certain BIG shopping mall
Feel very, very lucky. Hoping I can spend it at Debenhams on some Denby for my new kitchen - which I will enjoy and use and appreciate. I will write this in the thankyou letters I send out.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening all
Yuletide blessings to all who celebrate tomorrow and it's really nice to read about quite a few good things happening.
Sorry to hear about wispa, froddy.
I had a lovely lunch and afternoon out with a friend (and DS2, who behaved impeccably), finishing with the last costco shop of the year. I managed not to make any unplanned purchases and I don't think I've forgotten anything. :T
Since I got back I made tea, but didn't achieve much else.Hope I'm not coming down with anything.
At the very least I need to tidy the kitchen and do some baking before it gets too late. I felt really positive at the beginning of the week, so I don't know what's happened. The problems with DS1 are really getting to me and I'm not actually looking forward to the weekend, which is not like me.
Ok, time to shift bum of sofa and start by emptying and re-loading the dishwasher.0 -
Evening
I have had a productive day. I convinced the boys to part with some stuff out of their room and have sold quite a bit. I have given the money to the items owners. Hopefully they wont be needing my purse this week. Took DS1 to hospital and negotiated next appointment in the school holiday as he is in Year 10 and I don't want him to take time off school if poss.
Also
updated grocery delivery for tomorrow
Tomorrow
more items being collected (kerching)

Old style Flylady Xmas Quiz (no prize but you can glow with achievement)
which MSE stalwart got to the multi storey at 10 to 4 to find out parking was free from 4 and had no choice but to go in (due to road layout) and had to pay, for 10 minutes parking, £1.50?
Which MSE stalwart will be going to town at 4.01 pm every day until Xmas to get her money's worth?
Which MSE stalwart did her son's xmas shopping and got GOOD bargains but, as they are awkwardly-shaped now has to help wrap them?
Which MSE stalwart has been told she cannot wake the rest of the household up before 9 am? (Because she has never, ever, in all her years, woken up late on xmas morning). :rotfl:
Which MSE stalwart wuill turn up, at her sisters, at about 2pm on the 25th and be asked, within the hour (a) what time SHE got up and (b) whether she woke up her children or let them sleep?
Which MSE stalwart isn't very good at writing quiz questions?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Kitchen tidied, DW ready to run and stew in fridge for tomorrow's tea.
