How can I be lonely when I've got chaps like your good self lavishing me with their completely stable and in no way quite terrifyiing levels of attention.
As to my CC erm, "comrades" or as Rinoa likes to call them "Major Bear Allies" I presume that they are as non-plussed on your strange rants about post counts and mortgage rates as I am. :rotfl:
Which part of "no one cares" are you struggling with?heathcote123 wrote: »
Yes, I think he mentioned Timm had slipped it in midst thread - I skipped through it but missed it myself though, as I suspect most others did.
Oh is that what it is. They weren't paying attention.
So, nothing to do with the fact that I rarely post there, and when I do its on a sub-forum frequented by a tiny handful of posters. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:heathcote123 wrote: »
Why not anounce it in its own post in the Edinburgh forum, after all, such a devilishly clever joke will surely be appreciated by your chums over there.
But not as much as its been appreciated by my chums over here.
Which is kind of the point eh.
You appear to be seeking considerable solace in the fact that telling a perfect stranger about interactions with other strangers they neither know or encountered isn't going to hold much interest for them. Which is quite strange, isn't it?0 -

Lol yeh, it's such a non event of of so little importance, (and lets put this into the context of someone who has made 10's of thousands of posts on housing forums), that you felt compelled to lie about it for two years
Anyway, it's game, set and match to the 'bulls', you've effectively negated your own existence.
Have a cracking new year0 -

Oh I dunno, someone creating and then linking two stable micro singularities to form a wormhole* and then using this to travel back in time in order to buy a house at the bottom of a housing crash is a pretty big event!
I dare say a lot of interest will be expressed by CERN and NASA, if nothing else. This is a major world event!
* I'm assuming this is the method that was employed.0 -
Nice table, but I'd imagine it might cause some squirming on someone hung up on making sure they timed the bottom....Nope. This one's already backfired on you.
Turns out that Q1 figures far more realistic, which
gives me a £25K saving in a couple of posts.
Next...
Ah yes.
So all the previous 2 year stuff and the constant references to his avatars were all somehow misplaced in the space time continuum by 9 months.
Or is he simply getting at he spent more like £205k?
That's fine, perhaps he did. Not all 3 bed's will be of average quality, size or location so it's perfectly possible he bought one for £205k.
He should have had a word with "Jimmy31" he's going to be buying for a 3 bed for £40k.
Kind of appropriate with his new avatar, nicely correlates with his one-eyed confirmational biased view of the world0 -
Now that geneer has seen that graph, he'll no doubt start saying he bought in Q1 2009 really and that he only said he bought in Q4 2009 to trick his enemies. :rotfl:
p.s. or perhaps he will tweak his TARBIS (Time and Relative Bulls4it In Space) to arrive 9 months earlier.0 -

Some tin foil hat wearing denialism going on. Yes RM, I did in fact manage to go back in time in my time machine and plant evidence demonstrating I'd actually bought.
Thats exactly what happened. :rotfl:
Lordy. Bonkers.0 -

Just some first class ignoring going on by RM.
He really is a reasonable and stable chap.0 -

Well lets do the basics, as I don't want to confuse you with too many ideas.
My house did not cost £245K. Since I bought it is has not increased and decreased in price by tens of thousands of pounds.
The figures Rinoa keeps quoting don't appear to mean much in the real world.
But just for fun, its for someone who bought (or could have bought) in december, its quite clear that given the usual lag, the Q1 figures would be much more appropriate.
Q1 2006. £216265.
Q1 2010. £225732.
Now thats still a £9500 difference in fantasy house prices (an whopping increase of around 0.8% a year).
But it is still a saving of around £28000 on Rinoas assesment.
Get In.
Of course you also have to add in the savings I've made not paying rent (again bull rules apply).
Shall we say £20K.
Good lord. Thats a whopping saving of £48000.
Don't forget that my house is now, in Rinoaland, worth around £241000.
Golly thats a stonking "profit" of almost £25K.
So up by £73K Woo hoo.
I really must thank Columbo for helping work this out.JonnyBravo wrote: »

Good lord. This is like a serial killers bedroom wall.
Whatever your blabbing on about Jonny, I'm sure you will congratulate me on my £73000 haul.0 -

Lie about it? Nah. Mostly I just let you think what you want to think.
And yeah, its a bit of a non event to most. One person somewhere bought 1 house. It wasn't on the 9 o'clock news or anything.
At the end of the day it only matters to those who care.
And as I keep saying Heathcote/Fubra me old mate, you and a number of others appear to care very much indeed. :rotfl:
Simple fact.heathcote123 wrote: »

Well if you can type it it must be true.
I'm sure that your own epic 5 year obsession with Edinburgh whether or not I had bought was no skin of your nose.heathcote123 wrote: »

Poor ol' geneer.
It seems to matter to you to point out as rosy a financial picture as possible.
The massaging of a few timelines, the spinning of a few yarns as to price paid etc. It all seems VERY important.
Yep, well done if you saved £73k, thing is, I reckon you'll be back to say it was £253k in 2 years time.... and if you're not.... Well, I'll just be left thinking if someone is that desperate to prove a few points I'm absolutely certain they wouldn't mind a bit of exaggeration to help the figures look a little more impressive to their mind.
You ever heard of a young lad called Peter? Kept shouting about some wolf?0
